- I’ve been plateaued for a week, but my food and activity habits have been pretty consistent, and it really looks like I should be in a calorie deficit. (Breakthrough coming maybe??) I am prepping to leave for 5 days of camping next to Lake Tahoe, and while I am excited for all the family time and paddle boarding and hiking in my favorite spots…. I have no idea what effect this will have on my health goals. Bears are extremely active there, so rules are tight on how food is stored, so I will probably snack less. But I might also overeat because there’s zero time to listen to hunger cues: you just pick a time, prep a meal for the family, and we all have to eat it immediately or trash it, and then clean up/lock up everything instantly to avoid fines and bear risk. It’s a weird way to live, but a beautiful place, and I have needed this quiet time with the family. Hoping I can just CHILL OUT, and it will all work out. (Pic from a prior trip there)
