Unfortunately, I did not make it. My weight kept sitting about 1.5 lbs above my goal the last 2 weeks. I did everything right- calorie deficit, increased protein, water intake, was active but didn’t make it. Weight loss is a roller coaster! Congratulations to everyone who won!

Thanks everyone! I lost about 6.5 lbs so I’m super happy. Sometimes the body doesn’t want to work with us . Haha! I’ll get it next time :wink:

    Congratulations EVERYONE! Whether you reached your goal or not, you are all winners in my book! I am so proud of each of you for taking steps to an overall healthier you!

    I'm hoping you will take away something from these last 4 weeks that will stay with you forever. Maybe you adopted a new healthy habit (more sleep or water!) or got rid of an old, not-so-good one and replaced it with a new one (healthy food substitutions). Maybe your mindset shifted a bit (any movement is good movement or just do your best because it's the best you can do!).

    Just remember - it's all about choices! Do your best to make the right ones and learn from the not-the-best choices! You can achieve your goals! :)

Thank you for the great game! I have a question though... Why do they give people 2 days after the diet bet ends to weigh in? It seems like you should hit your weight after it ends, not 2 days after it ends. I've always wondered that if you could shed some light on that for me. Thank you

Hi Shasta- This is a great question with several different answers!
The first answer is that the 48-hour window allows players time to resubmit their final weigh-ins if needed! That is why we always suggest weighing in early, if possible!
We also have players from all around the world, so in order to best accommodate everyone, we want to give everyone plenty of time to submit. We allow a full 48 hours of weigh-in time to account for fluctuations, traveling, personal considerations, etc. Basically, we want you to succeed and be rewarded in all ways for your hard work! I hope this helps! :)

  • This has been *really really tough*, and glancing at my stats just now I’ve realised my target end weight for this game is still higher than my STARTING weight for all the games I’ve played in the past years. Overall my weight is going up and up each year. 😔 Thank goodness that at least I’m able to use DietBet as motivation to slow the upwards trend but I do need to work out what to do longer term. Menopause really isn’t working for me 😅 or at least my diet and exercise approach clearly need to change to meet the challenge of menopause.

    Also, in the past I found it much easier to lose weight while on a game, but this year (I’ve done back to back games in Jan and Feb) I feel I’ve tried harder but lost much less than I’d hoped - despite having more to lose! I just feel like the harder I try the more my body holds on. I’d heard that was what happened at around this age but it’s still caught me off guard and I’m having to reevaluate my hopes now I can see the huge changes I’d have to make to get to my target weight. 😬

    Anyway, sorry to rant and good luck to everyone. I’m off to bed (🇬🇧) in hopes that I wake up half a pound lighter in the morning! Pic of yesterday’s run to end on a smilier note 😆

What a beautiful smile! That is a great picture. Even if the scale is being dishearteningly stubborn, all that exercise and cutting out junk food has got to be keeping you healthy and improving your longevity, right? Keep up the good work :heart:
