Yay, Jo! That's such a great habit! I've noticed on the days where I can walk in the morning vs evening, I do better eating-wise....like I don't want to waste those burned calories! lol!

I’ve stopped snacking every time my kid is snacking and hope to keep that going! I tell myself he’s a growing boy I’m full grown and I don’t need a snack right now lol

  • Happy Friday! As we head into the "weekend gates" of our journey, let's talk about the ultimate strategy to make your week ahead a breeze: Weekend Prep!

Think of your weekend kitchen time as setting up your very own "FastPass" system for healthy eating. Taking a little extra time on Saturday or Sunday to get ready means you'll cruise through the busiest weekdays without hitting any "snack stand" roadblocks or "dining delays."

So, why is weekend prep your VIP pass? First, you get effortless healthy choices. Your healthy meals and snacks are already assembled and waiting, so there's no last-minute scramble or unhealthy impulse buys when hunger strikes. Second, it leads to stress-free weekdays. You'll free up precious time during the week, making it easier to stick to your goals even when your schedule feels like a rollercoaster. And finally, you'll have consistent fueling. With healthy options at your fingertips, you're always ready to fuel up properly, keeping your energy high for all of life's "attractions."
This could mean chopping veggies for salads, cooking a batch of lean protein like chicken or hard-boiled eggs, portioning out healthy snacks, or even whipping up a big batch of soup or chili. A little effort now pays off huge dividends later!

What's one thing you're planning to "prep like a pro" this weekend to make your next week's healthy eating a smooth ride? Share your smart strategies below!

I love potatoes, so I usually cook a batch in my InstantPot for the week and keep them in a ziploc for an easy lunch or dinner! I also tend to make a batch of chili on Sundays. I love having something ready in the fridge so I'm not tempted by quick things that tend not to be as healthy.

I like to make a frittata on sundays to have my breakfast for the week ready to go and so I can guarantee I’m starting my day with protein and veggies. It makes my mornings less hectic too!
