  • Good morning and welcome to Workout Wednesday!

    Are you a morning or evening workout person? Personally I have to get my day started with some purposeful movement before the day dissolves into work and family needs.

    Also, is there a specific workout you are using? I’m training for a 10k so I use my Garmin, along with Ryse and WayBetter to keep me on track. For my home workouts, I love FitOn!

Hey folks! Sitting on the couch again, feeling rubbish again, finally decided to actually take things seriously and sign up.

The last couple of years, my health and fitness has slipped and I've gained 30lb as a result. Time to get the wheels in motion and refocus on what matters.

I feel this so hard. My weight has roller coastered over the same 50 pounds lost and gained for years. Last week I cried in a dressing room trying on bras because even my “big girl bras” are too tight right now. Ready to make good decisions and never cry in a dressing room again. Oh my goodness - I was making good pace and then started eating Halloween candy about a week ago and barely made it in round 5. Finally cut off the candy on Saturday and needed to wait until today to weigh... I hope everyone stays focused for this last round!

? on to round 5! I hope everyone is hanging in there and if they didn’t make the goal are gaining great habits along this journey! I’m feeling much more in control of my daily habits and focused than I have in a very long time. I’m very glad I decided to make the jump to join this DietBet. I’m still slightly miffed everytime I step on the scale and see a 1 instead of a 2 - I’m officially under 10lbs away from losing a total of 100lbs - which in itself is mind blowing!

  • I did it- there’s a 1 in the front!!!!! I am 10lbs away from officially losing 100lbs. I think I’m still in shock that the number starts with a 1. I think I got on and off the thing 6 times before I believed that it wasn’t a mirage and it wasn’t going to just jump back up to 200! I’ve been sitting at 200 for the last 10 days! I thought for sure I was going to need to wait until tomorrow. But there it is- 199.2! What?!?

  • The last 2 wks have been a blur! How’s everyone hanging in? I’m doing ok- weight is coming off slower but I expected that and am still trending down even with a few trips here and there- I’ve been making substitutions when I can and making better choices - usually I look at vacation as a time to indulge but I am determined to do this thing! I’m currently in CO visiting a friend until Thursday and just made a quick chicken salad to have before we head out to meet friends for dinner- this way I won’t be starving and can pick a smaller less calorie dense option without feeling deprived.

Danika, Yes my weight fluctuates in the morning I have been fasting all night. So that's my lightest. Then eating all day drinking water. Exercise all makes your weight increase significantly. Why it is best for weigh ins 1st thing in the am

  • Cheers to completing the first 2 months and starting Round 3! May 18th 217.2lbs —> July 19th 204lbs. Down a total of 13.2lbs and feeling determined heading into Round 3- this is a big personal goal for me as my goal weight is set for 199.8. It’s almost ironic that is just .2 under 200 bc I have been chasing to be under 200 for almost 5 years and just keep letting myself backslide. Round 3 is going to be “the” round for me. So you’ll have to excuse me when I’m emotionally vomiting the next 4 wks - it’s going to be a wild ride of planning, will power, and determination to hit it with 2 trips planned in August. Let’s go!!
