I intended to be a whole lot more active in here when I joined. I paid for the membership and have ignored it. But I’m losing and learning and feeling great! It’s amazing how quickly we can feel good again with some focus. Everyone’s posts are super encouraging- keep up the good work!

I fell off the wagon yesterday. Had a very stressful day & even with best intentions I had a low sugar Greek yogurt bar but that triggered a dive into pure chocolate 😳 I haven’t weighed myself; I’m not interested in punishing myself but I know it’s likely to at minimum to cause a stall on any progress. All I can do is look forward! I packed healthy food for work & brought some fresh strawberries for a treat for lunch, so hopefully that will help me through. I have a sleep study scheduled tonight, so more not fun stuff on the agenda. At least tomorrow is Friday, LOL.

Sometimes no matter what you do it backfires. I stuck to my diet to a T but added in SIMPLE interval jogging to add up to 10 mins of jogging n I gained 2lbs ;/

Made it through Friday night without going off plan. I don’t mind a little indulgence, but if I’m not super intentional about when it happens, it’s easy to lose focus entirely.

Just got done with a Kickstarter & hoping to keep the ball rolling. I stay busy in the spring which is good to keep me from boredom munching BUT I have a very major life event (custody trial w/my ex) next month that I am representing myself and beyond stressed/traumatized. It’s taking every coping strategy I have just to get through each day. Eating healthy helps me feel like I *can* be successful and take care of myself but the urge to seek out comfort foods is STRONG. I’m a sugar addict & even though I have mastered several sugar free/low sugar recipes I still struggle mightily. Hoping the great crew here can help me stay focused & not relapse!!

Thanks for the support everyone! It’s *really* hard for me to balance healthy eating choices vs. swinging either way (binge eating or food avoidance/eating obsession) so I am really grateful to have a support system that helps keep me focused on what’s important!

    -Relax - Stress can lead to overeating. Take some time for yourself!
    -Sleep - We need our sleep and it aids our weight loss efforts!

    The weekend is also a great time to do some meal planning and prep for the week. Head to the grocery store and stock up on healthy options to have on hand.

I set a goal for this week to not bring anything into the house that would be hard to resist. It can be a one meal thing, but it can’t be something I would go back to again and want to finish the package. I’m still on track with that goal, and that makes me ridiculously happy.

I’m so excited!!! I’m 6 months postpartum and so uncomfortable. I’m also doing weight watchers, which helps me feel like I have control over food. I personally respond to low fat, low carb, high protein the most. What are you doing for food?

Mostly calorie counting(2000 cal max goal)/journaling over here. No set macros or eliminations, but saying nothing after 7 pm and limiting to 1 alcoholic beverage per week.

  • 1 lg banana, 2 eggs, cinnamon and vanilla to taste, and 6 cashews to sprinkle over. Cook on medium/high till done (I like mine a little past done). It fills the whole plate, but I stack them to keep them hot. This is a favorite.
