  • Happy Friday! I don’t know about everyone else but I’m ready for the weekend!

    Our weekend is going to be full of family since we are taking a last summer trip and are meeting up with about half of our extended family. There will be lots of good food and walking around town.

    How are you going to maintain your progress over the weekend?

I'll be just fine with my food intake, but my biggest hurdle is the booze! I have family coming in from out of town and I know Saturday night is going to be the drinking night for everyone. I would typically drink like 8-9 beers, but I think I will just make one or two mixed drinks with diet pop and like half a shot or something. I don't want to drink heavily and undo my progress this week, but I don't want to deprive myself completely!

I had a couple of extra snacks yesterday but I kept them reasonable and l also ate healthy main meals. It's about balance for me.

You have to engage the front of your core. Squeeze your abs as much as you can, that takes the strain out of the lower back. I lift heavy and have dealt with a lot of that. Also make sure your form is spot on
