Everything happens for a reason!

My non-scale victory is that my skin gets sooo much better whenever I eat healthy and exercise more. I love that result! :hearts:

I may have won, but feel this was due to me being sick for the last week and a half.. couldn't eat a lot ... hmm will have to see if I can keep it off now.

Who else does a cheat day once a week?

Pros?
Cons?

I do it because I'm on track, actually quite a bit over my goal. And I want to eat everything. Lol.

I agree with pretty much everyone. I see all of us making a lifestyle change, so we aren't "dieting" per se...so nothing should be off limits, but that being said, there are good food choices and bad food choices. So there really aren't cheat days or meals, just choices you adjust your daily plan to accommodate.

Gage F.

I love all the input I found here, I'd reply individually, but I gotta go to work haha. I do think reward day is better than cheat day for sure. And I think it's important for me because I'm a very black and white person there is no grey area. So these days I eat more feel freeing. Like finding the grey area finally.

Plus, I noticed i got full so fast I couldn't eat like I used to. I hope my stomach stays smaller. I tend to regain weight after I reach my goals. I hope not this time.

I'm in the same spot. Workouts every day, lots of veggies, hitting my water goal. The scale is stuck right now, but i know it will drop soon. Don't give up. Not getting enough sleep or a little stress can make my weight stall, and then it will all drop at once.

Melanie B.

Me too! Stay the course. Keep tracking. Keep up with the water. Keep moving. I’m going to focus on these & dinner & done. My body is ready to drop the weight!

For those who weigh in daily every day … what do you do when you do everything “right” and scale stays exactly the same ?? The old me would throw in the towel and say “F it,” but I don’t want to do that anymore ! That mentality is why I have been yo-yoing back and forth the same 5 lbs for 2 years.

  • If you do it daily you become desensitized to the car crash of emotion that comes when it goes up. Seriously. Plus there are times that it goes down that you don’t even know bc you aren’t looking! Like others mentioned, it’s data. It also helped me learn that it might go up today but then down the next two days. I’ve had six decrease days out of 8 so far this month. One day that I went up, it was 1.8 lbs, which used to deflate me. But surrounded by all the loss, I know it’s all good. For reference, green is loss, pink is gain, yellow is no change (I rarely get those).

It’s so great that you’re aware of that old mindset and are ready to break free from it! Remember, the scale is just one tool, not the full story. When it doesn’t move, focus on the bigger picture, how you feel, your energy levels, how your clothes fit, and non-scale victories like sticking to your habits.

With 2B Mindset, it’s helpful to reflect and ask yourself: Am I drinking enough water? Did I focus on veggies first? Am I tracking honestly? Sometimes small tweaks make a big difference, even when it feels like you’re doing everything right.

Consistency beats perfection every time, and the key is to stay patient. The scale will eventually catch up, but your healthy habits are what truly create lasting change. Keep going you’ve got this!

  • Well, my first day, & while I had bought all of the food, today was the day I was going to meal prep. You know, make jumbo spice burgers, veggies, etc.howevet I had to take my mom to dr then all of errands, I brought water & cherry tomatoes with me. However I never ate, but I did drink all the waters!! So when I finally got home at 630, I made the 10 burgers, reheated spaghetti squash and made a salad and ate slowly.
I feel like I'm still hungry but now it's 745pm. Ugh maybe just more water?!

Great job! Yes, more water is best. I will sometimes make tea in a big mug and hold it with both hands while watching TV in the evening to avoid snacks. That is a trick that has been successful for me. (I did not like tea until I tried this trick either & now I do, lol!)

That's a great idea!!
