The only thing I like is walking but it's snowy here too so I bought a walking pad and I work from home so I'm able to walk while I work

  • Last year at Christmas, I came up with a plan to line all 17 of our neighbors houses (.75 miles) with Christmas lights on the docks. This year I did it and it was a big hit! But pulling them up this weekend took 3 days, not as fun and ended up being an incredible workout! lol

I have been in the habit of snacking way too much. Drinking a can of sparkling water is a really helpful way to feel full and avoid some excess snacking for a little longer till its time for your next meal! Maybe just plain old self-control would be cheaper but its nice to have a handy trick on hard afternoons trying to make it till dinner.

So after listening to The Diary of a CEO, I have decided to start taking ketones and creatine. Not his brand of ketones though which are 13 dollars a dose! I got them for 2 dollars a dose online. I’m going to take only one dose, not two a day because of the cost.

I buy bulk creatine and measure it out myself. I stopped with keystones, they gave me headaches but everyone is different.

I'm using a new strategy this time than just reducing calories and increasing exercise (I'm doing that too), but I realized I need to do something about my insatiable hunger after pregnancy. It's coming from insulin resistance. My A1C is creeping up and Im just hungry ALL the time. So I looked into natural ways to correct hunger cues and insulin resistance, and here's what I learned - the order you eat food can be used to train the body to better use it's energy and to trigger natural GLP1 release, and increasing viscous fiber helps with feeling full longer and triggering that same GLP1 response.

So I'm eating my protein first, then a viscous fiber (chia seeds, flax seeds, steel cut oats or even just good ole metamucil), THEN any carbs. Reducing snacking between meals. And drinking loads more water. And so far, I've reduced the calories I feel that I need by about 500/day because I'm fuller. It makes calorie reduction so much simpler.
