I gave up beef and pork for lent. I’m thinking of just continuing so that I can stay on track for this bet. But beef just makes my mouth water. I tried turkey burgers but it’s just not the same.

I over indulged this week, a little too much celebrating various events. Will be rolling back and getting more whole food rather than processed food this week.

I had a big study day today, need to balance out with some gym time.

Hi!

I would like some ideas on how you are planning to get rid of your 4% extra weight in 4 weeks?

I count calories, consume max 1400 cal a day, and track my macros. I walk 7500 steps a day. I exercise 5 times a week for 30 min. Lets see if I achieve 1 week goal.

I'm planning weight lifting/cardio 3-4x/week, eating in a deficit (tracking everything!), fasting 1 day/week, and drinking 100oz/day.

I have 3 days of strength training with a 20min cardio warm up, 1 day cardio only and one day grab bag either Zumba, yoga or boxing class.

I log all food, including candy and desserts. I have started to prioritize protein with a goal of 140g, 120g carbs and I don’t really count fat. Water is a must since I live in the desert and I’ve started incorporating at least 1 packet of sugar free liquid IV. Also cut beef and pork out of my diet at least for now for religious reasons, maybe longer if I can. That means I’ve been getting a lot of lean protein from fish, chicken and turkey. I treat calories like a budget sheet.

This plan helped me win my last DietBet even it was by a sliver. The longer I can keep it going the stronger of a habit it becomes.

I’m so excited for this DietBet! I just finished one and used the winnings to enter this one! I am so excited to continue my weight loss journey. I barely won the last one so I’m adding a StepBet this time around to enhance my motivation and activity. We got this!

At the beginning of the year my goal was to lose 10% weight by June, so far I have 12 pounds left I’m working hard to live a life that I can sustain after I lose the weight. Small changes add up to big results.

Ended up finding out I’m pregnant 4 days into the challenge so had to back out of this one! Sad part is I made my goal on week 2 but the weight came right back on these past 2 weeks because I couldn’t eat in a deficit anymore 😩

Would help if scale wasn’t wonky! I submitted official weigh in & moved scale. Out of curiosity I weighed again (with more clothes) & weight was back down to where it should be! Only 1/2 lb but I felt better about it. Anyway, the first (official) weight still was at my goal so it’s good.
( now to continue down to my personal goal- another 6 pounds.)
