Celebrated my birthday today with winning this dietbet.

Almost a year ago I started this journey to health and truly living. As I think back on this last year, yes I may be a year older but I am healthier, 160 lbs lighter, no joint pain, better blood pressure, and enjoying life.

I didn’t buckle down until last week but I made it through the weekend with no weight gain! Huge win for me. I jumped in another step bet and diet bet today. I am doing the transformer and have to lose 10% in six months!!!

I love chocolate covered strawberries! Almost guilt free depending on how much chocolate and what type is used. Plus it feels fancy

Alright, came home from a nice long weekend with family. Time to get back on the grind. Focus on whole, lean ingredients and activity!

This week’s menu shrimp boil and turkey/cauliflower version of shepherds pie.

Incorporating more strength training this week, gotta build lean muscles!

So proud of me! Spending time with family usually means eating. I am not cutting out carbs, just significantly reducing my rice intake. I’m grateful that I can still enjoy without over indulging. Also happy I got to go on a nice walk with my sister!

Halfway through and almost halfway to my goal for this challenge. And the 5 a day challenge is not too hard for me - almost always have 2 fruits and at least 3 veggies every day! And I have tomatoes and zucchini in my garden I can't hardly keep up with!

I have recently started to incorporate tomatoes into my diet, I’m almost 40 and have never enjoyed raw tomatoes. Basil, mozzarella and balsamic can really change me!
