Happy Wednesday!

Exercise is an important aspect of staying healthy! The saying "use it or lose it" is very true and every little bit counts! What are you up to today? Can you do anything different to add extra activity to your day (park farther away, take the stairs instead of the elevator, etc.)?

I did a 2 miler on the dreadmill and am just about to start some light yoga/stretching. Feel free to share your accountability posts.

Oh nice! One thing I heard about was using chatgbt to help with meal planning. You can even tell it what kind of meals you want or what macros you want i think.

  • Happy Monday! Welcome everyone! It's day 1 and we are here to crush our goals! If you haven't already, please introduce yourself and let us know how you heard about DietBet and how many games you've played! :)

    Now is the time to take a moment to set some personal goals for this game. Once you've determined what your goals are (drink more water, workout goals, practice gratitude, sleep routine, etc), the key to success is having a SOLID PLAN in place and studies show that putting it in writing helps.

    Plan your meals - Write down what you're having each day and have the ingredients on hand. Or do some meal prep! This leaves no reason why you have to go out or grab something quick that may not be as healthy.

    Plan your workouts - Treat them like work and show up even if you don't want to go. You are the boss and you need to be tough on yourself. You'll always be glad you did!

    Track your water intake - Water is essential and we have to drink it! For some of us it comes naturally but for others, it's a chore. Find a way that helps you enjoy it and make it happen!

    Track your food - It's easy to forget about those little "grabs" we do when we see snacks on the table. This will keep it real. Whether it's writing it down or just taking photos, the accountability really helps!

    Get enough sleep - Getting adequate, quality sleep is an important part of a healthy weight loss plan.

    Have fun and relax - Self care is important too!

Great introduction Gina. I've done several bets overs the past 10 years and am back up in weight. All the tips and tricks you've mentioned are part of my plan. My goals are to meditate every day to help stop the "food noise"/ always thinking about eating, to focus on fiber and protein, and to prep my food for the day the day before or morning of.

I will write out everyday my meal plan for the day. And I will post when I’ve accomplished it.

My second goal is to close all the rings on my Apple Watch every single day this month! :)

    How was everyone’s weekend? It was pretty rainy and gloomy. And COLD!- gross

    I'm pretty sure that we all still have a few unhealthy habits that we can give up. For one week...only one week what unhealthy habit are you willing to give up? Who knows...this may lead to you giving up that unhealthy habit for good.

    I'm going to try and be more conscious of my posture when at the computer and take more stretch breaks!
