Thank you Joe & Megan, for giving me the sufficient kick in the pants to get off my rump and dial in my nutrition. This was month 2 of returning to exercise, but the first time in more than a couple years that my nutrition was remotely dialed in... in fact, this is the most on-point my nutrition has ever been. While I didn't follow what you provided, the hybrid calendar and little bit of added motivation of money being on the line really had me hammer it home. Ended up dropping a whopping 21 lbs through these 4 weeks. I was 238 lbs at weigh-in and ended at 217 and feeling phenomenal!!!!!

What an experience. Still have 30-35 left to go and I'm sure it'll slow down as I get nearer my goal weight, but great jump start!

I lost 7.2 pounds, met my goal, and more, I am so happy. Yesterday was a challengeable day because we celebrated two wonderful occasions: my sister's birthday and my niece's graduation from her Master's degree in Education.
As you can imagine, we had to go out to celebrate. I'm very proud of myself since I was able to taste, although in limited quantities. I knew I had to weigh this morning. I had a lovely dinner with my family while staying within my calorie deficit, and I am so happy to meet my target. This was one of the best choices I made. I will keep going because my objective is to lose four more pounds and gain more muscle. Good luck everyone!! :)

Hello, Susan. I'm not going to join in any games; instead, I'll wait for Joel's next program, which will be released on BODi on June 10th. It's called "Sped training," and it's an 8-week strength plan that I'll continue to combine with my healthy eating routines. For the next week or so, I'll just keep completing the workouts from Lift More Super Blocks until the new program launches.

This has been a busy month, and by far, not my best DietBet, but somehow, I still did it!
I spent a week away(5 nights at my sister’s and a weekend at camp), one graduation, 2 birthday parties, Mother’s Day, and yesterday at a winery for a small concert.
I actually didn’t say no to most things except yesterday as I was mindful of sodium and didn’t want to retain water for this morning’s weigh in. And I only worked out 13 days of the challenge.
It’s about being mindful!
I almost didn’t do this DietBet because it was a busy month and didn’t think it was feasible, but it brought a level of awareness that kept me accountable.
Yay! Now it’s time for breakfast!

  • How’d my fellow peri/menopause warriors do?

    Cause at 51, the struggle was real for me to get that scale to move.

    There were days I’d be up 3lbs, down the next 2lbs, then up 5lbs. Despite tracking food, running, lifting, all of it.

    Proud of all of you! We hung in there despite our bodies maybe not cooperating like it would 5-10 years ago.

I don’t weigh every day usually but leading up to the finish, I was just checking in. I wasn’t sure I’d make it. I was up 3 lbs on Saturday despite being dialed in.

I tend to have both water retention (plus slow digestion?), and also noticed that the weight was mostly flat once I started working out more earnestly and/or increasing the weight or number of reps I was working out with. Even so, during those flatter weight times, I feel significantly more physically fit and stronger.
