I lost 1 game and one transformer round this month because I lost track of my weight days. Thankfully, I made weight for Round 2 in this game despite already hydrating this day because I forgot I had to get on the scale for this round, too.

I needed to do a better job at tracking game days. I suppose 6 games/rounds were a bit too much for me.

I will do better starting today.

That's a great attitude. I'm wishing you a gorgeous (re)start!

I'm happy with my scale results. But I'm not happy with my body right now. I'm weight training and eating well... but I'm noticing more loose skin. I know this is a process, but it's hard to stay motivated sometimes.

Brushing your skin daily with a hard sisal - brush (dry) and then massage it with a firming oil may help. I'm using some expensive french products. It's an additional task along the weightloss - journey, but it pays off. I am brushing my upper arms, thighs, belly, hips and backside.
Good luck for you and congrats on your success so far!

As an older person I know that losing weight will make me look even older. At my age this is all about health and reducing pain in my joints, so I'm fine with some of the negative physical consequences of losing weight. I can understand why it might bother some younger folks, but I think over time building muscle might help and also losing weight slowly.

I'm actually recovering from Covid. It hit me real hard this time and I was only an inch away from hospitalisation. Had zero fun in eating due to loss of olfaction and sense of taste. So I lost weight. But not in the way, I intended to.... I'm lucky, my senses come back, but still feeling too weak for sports. Hope, you are all well!

I had Covid last year and lost 10 pounds. It took at least a couple months before I was able to get back to hiking even after I was physically feeling better. My resting heart rate was 99. It is usually in the 60's. Hope you get well soon.

Thank you all! ?

I'm not very hopeful this round. I'm going on a 10 day road trip and get back right before weigh-in. I feel like I have already given up hope. I can bring food for the first couple days, but after that it will be all eating out.

I went on a five week hiatus from my diet during Christmas and we went on vacation as well during that time. I allowed myself to eat out and enjoy it. I also made sure to get in as many steps as I could and exercise when I could, which was nine during the trip. However after five weeks of that I only gained a half pound! Don’t feel defeated before you even go. You can still do it! And even if you don’t this time around, just keep chugging along the next. Good luck!

Can you go to grocery stores to keep preparing your own meals? I find a lot of restaurants have salads with protein, omelets, or steak and eggs, just ask them not to bring toast or potatoes, if grocery stores are not options. I’m doing low carb so that’s my suggestion.

Got on the scale this morning just to check that I’m close to my goal and I have officially lost 50 lbs! And I’m under the goal weight so that was good. One more pound and I’ll have lost 30% of my original body weight. I started September 23rd doing Weight Watchers and taking weight loss meds from For Hers (Bupropion, Naltrexone, and Metformin). I walk at work and exercise everyday at home-no gym. And while I know the meds have helped speed up the process, I have also worked my tail off, quite literally, to get where I am. I am extremely proud of myself! I’ve never accomplished anything like this before!

I had a very active and challenging weightloss - weekend. And just weighed out with more than one pound spare. Yeah! Just waiting for verification now. Good luck for all of you! And whether you made goal or not - as long as you did your personal best those last four weeks, it's time to celebrate! 🎉

  • So this is a pic from last week. 3 years of ups and downs after pregnancy. I had a huge weight gain in April ‘24 after a serious life detour. This is me now. I’m not gonna hit my goal in a few days, but I am happy with where I am now. No more dietbets for a while as I really burned thru some money since Jan, only won 1 game. The positives are that I am back to my pre-baby body. I also built an amazing relationship with my fitness. In June, I’m going to have my fitness instructor exam, and hopefully start working and helping people train after getting certified. Thanks DietBet for the motivation. Hopefully, I won’t need DietBet for a long time. Unless, I have another baby 😆 good luck to all! With dedication, It Can Be Done! Now the focus shifts to getting stronger 💪💪🙏 Amen!

You can loose every round. However the main one you have to weigh in is the 5th one. Not sure why but that's the rule.

Rose S

may I add: in Rd. 5, you have to do a mandatory weigh- in to prove that you have lost at least 6% of your body weight. The official goal for Rd. 5 is a weightloss of 10%. So you can even lose Rd. 5 (if you have lost at least 6%) and still win the game. The reason ist: DB wants to prevent their players from unhealthy quick weightloss - sprints towards the end of the game.

Probably going to have to have knee replacement surgery right around the time the contest ends, so I'm a little extra motivated this time. I just want to pre-thank everyone for the motivation and inspiration that the DB community brings to every contest. Crush it!

The better shape you’re in before you have surgery the better shape you’ll be in when you come out of it! Cheers to bettering our bodies!

Rose S

I had massive knee problems too. Went to a specialist for knee - surgery and was told that he wouldn't do a surgery because I was too heavy. That was real depressing. He gave me a receipt for conventional therapy (physiotherapy). I were lucky to find a real gifted therapist who was working with me in a real hard way. I went to a gym too and lost a lot of weight. And what shall I say - with weightloss, building up my muscles and gym, I were able to walk painless. Unfortunately, weight was creeping up again and pain came back. Now, I try to do this a second time and then I will never allow my weight to come back again. Good luck for you all!
