- I knew I'd miss this month's weigh in because I was lucky enough to go on a hiking trip to The Azores and I just got back! And I just wanted to share a little with this group:
I tried EVERYTHING to get motivated this year:
- signed up for this hiking trip (actually a year ago)
- signed up for this dietbet
- had a trainer for a little while
- tried some online training programs
And honestly I didn't end up anywhere close to where I hoped by the time of this trip.
BUT what did happen was:
- I was able to complete ALL of the hikes and actually enjoy them instead of just getting through them. With no injuries!!
- Ate and drank all the delicious Portugese food and wine without guilt (and with no weight gain surprisingly)
- hit 10-14k steps everyday and loved every moment of it
All of this BECAUSE of the work I put in. I may not be at the finish line, but I am closer than I was and I'll take that win. Progress over Perfection!
Now to keep it going for the next adventure.....and the next round....
