  • Hello everyone! Our game officially starts today and i'm so ready to stay accountable with you! For those of you who may not know me my name is Lexi (fatgirlfedup). I joined my first dietbet in 2016 and it helped me to lose 312lbs in two years with diet/exercise. No meal plan, surgery, personal trainer, but just counting my calories, focusing on my diet with 30-60 mins of exercise 5x a week in the beginning. Here's a few things to get started:
    - Welcome! Together we are losing pounds and have become a community full of love, encouragement, and support! It brings me great joy to host and I love being part of such a positive weight loss space. We will have others joining us for 2 weeks so be sure to invite friends, family, and coworkers. You may literally save their life just by getting them to join in on the fun!
    - Diet is key! I use myfitnesspal to track all the food i'm eating and it helped me learn about nutrition labels, log my water/workouts, and showed me my progress!
    - MOVE! Try to get atleast 30 minutes of exercise 4-5x a week even if it's just walking. Every step adds up! I started with the elliptical 5x a week in the beginning as I was 485lbs and it helped me to not kill my knees. Start where you can and just focus on moving daily.
    - WATER is your best friend! I aim to drink a gallon a day. Water helps to keep you full, boost your metabolism, and can even help your skin while losing weight!
    - Let's be friends! Be sure to tag #fatgirlfedupsdietbet on all social media so we can find & cheer each other on!
    - PICTURES. Sometimes the scale doesn't tell the full story so be sure to take ALL the before pictures. I promise you WILL want them and we can't wait to see your transformation!
    - Any technical or weigh in problems email support@dietbet.com as they are amazing and super quick with helping!

We're all in this together, let's do this! <3

  • Today was the first day in 8years that my weight started with a 1. I was so shocked I stepped off and had to step back on. My lowest as an adult AND my 100lb down mark is 195.0, to think I’m so close to reaching that is so surreal to me. ?

  • I did it! This project scared me but I finally figured it out. I set up my own pool so I can swim laps tethered. I tried the ankle tether and hated that. I was like “duh, I’m an open water swimmer and used to a swim buoy tied to me” so I tried that and it worked! 35 minute swim today!

Hi everyone,

I have lost 50lbs slowly since December for a total of 95lbs since my highest adult weight.

I’ll be starting here right around 315lbs.
(Going to do my weigh in tomorrow.)

I’m hoping to get under 300lbs by the end of this challenge.

I have a long term goal of 185-215.
(My lowest adult weight was 210.)
I’m not quite sure that there is a specific number that I want to achieve.

I just turned 50 and am really just trying to focus on health and strength and stamina.

I’ve been trying to get 120g of protein a day and I plan to add stretching and water walking by the end of August.

I have learned that I am more successful with filling plans and routines when I have support from and connection with other people.

I’m looking forward to being a part of this community.

Teresa congrats on your steady progress so far! I know that feels so great. Swimming, water yoga and stretching are a part of my regular life so let me know if you need any tips. Good luck!

Thank you! The pool is closed where I swim until mid-August. I’m excited about going again.
