To be healthy & comfortable in my own body I’ve gained 50 lbs after knee surgery & recent ankle injury. Menopause is making this round more challenging, but I am determined with consistency & accountability that I can lose this weight again

  • Got a super light leg day in; just enough to wake them up. I’ll start going heavier and longer as they regain strength.

If you haven’t tried weight lifting - I highly recommend. The more I lift, the less pain I have, the more energy I have (probably because when your stronger it’s not as hard to move around), and obviously the better I look (muscle burns more calories while taking up less space).

What’s everyone else up to today? Workout or rest day?

For those who win, how are you celebrating? For those who don’t win, how are you preventing yourself from boomeranging out of frustration/sadness/disappointment/whatever you’re feeling?

I bought an Oura ring! I want to work on my sleep while also continuing to work on my eating & exercise habits. I’m on the fence about another transformer, but am leaning a little more into the idea after reading others intentions… I certainly benefit from the accountability. I’d love a chat group within the game, I enjoy reading everyone’s updates but haven’t formed many connections due to the size of the player group. Congrats to all of the winners, we’ve all made changes big and small & that should be celebrated :muscle::sunglasses:

I’m not one to often write posts, when I’ve done diet bets before. However, I lost the last couple, so I need to do something different. My main problem is when I have access to unhealthy food (out to eat, parties, etc), I have trouble resisting. Generally if I stay away from junk and such, I’m good. But when it’s in front of me it’s a different story. So when I’m in a situation where the urge to indulge is overwhelming, I’m going to get on here and post. Something to mark the moment, and the feeling that I need to overeat, but to keep a rational and objective attitude towards the feeling, and then releasing it so I can make the best decision for myself. I just figured I’d put a warning out there, in case I start posting a lot! Best wishes to all.

Good job continuing the journey but tweaking along the way. I haven’t typically posted much either so I get it..going to make an effort to engage more. Good luck to you, you’ve got this! :muscle:?

I struggle with this as well. I need to stay away or I can overeat junk food. I’ve been doing hyper keto and I eat a ton of veggies. The volume gets me full and the calories are low. Good luck to you on this transformer.

This has been the hardest month for me with all the Diet bet challenges I have done over the years. I only needed to lose 2 lbs in 10 days to achieve my goal this month. Normally during this time of the year I gain 10-15 pounds from all the stress but this year I decided to join this 6 month challenge to lose weight and it has been a challenge. This month has been extremely stressful (you know when you wish you had 10 extra hours each day to get everything you need done) between work (year end as an accountant) and both of my boy’s hockey schedule. Then my hot water tank broke (no hot water for 48 hours), two weeks later my furnace stopped working when it was -20 C outside (thankfully my dad was able to fix it at 11pm while I was as at the hockey area). Then two days later my car wouldn’t start (thankfully it only needed a new battery), then I got a last minute call that my son had to go for surgery. I was able to get through all the hurdles but my stress levels were through the roof for the whole month and I have never struggled so much to lose 2 pounds (I guessing from all the cortisol in my body). I have been eating my protein bar for breakfast, oatmeal with fresh apples mixed in for lunch, and vegetable soup for supper for 10 days to try and lose those 2 pounds. I added minimum 10,000 steps for the past 4 days on top of my strict diet. Last night I was still 1/2 lbs away so I drank a lot of water and danced in my living room for 90 minutes and the scale rewarded me this morning by achieving my goal with .4 lbs to spare………..if you put your mind to achieve a goal you can do it.

First time posting here. At the end of February, I fell while spending time outdoors and fractured my lower back, which forced me to stop all physical activity. Because of the intense pain and medication, my old unhealthy eating habits returned—I ate whatever was around, which only made me feel worse mentally. Fortunately, my back is finally healing, and I feel confident enough to go for walks again. I’ve also managed to stop snacking and overeating. Now I’m heading into a new month with more energy and more positive mindset!

March 1 really sneaks up on you! Was glad to weigh in today low enough to also hit my goal for my Monday weigh-in, which means I should be able to reuse it (assuming no DB glitch like happened in another game last month).

I have no plans to self-sabatoge before then,
but it's nice to not have to deal with the whole process too many times.

Anyone else have that Process? Gotta move the rug, move the scale to the mirror, open up the shades and turn on the lights to get it bright enough, etc! And I shouldn't even have to move the rug but one time my weigh-in was rejected because something about the angle of the photo made them think the scale was on the rug, even though it wasn't. So since then I make sure it's very clearly distant!

I’m right there with you! Flip the rug in half just incase, move the scale, set up the mirror & don’t cut off an arm or head

Eli M

YES! its a process for me too! I'm usually rearranging the shelves two or 3 book shelves to get the space right for the camera angle
