  • Spartan 21K Beast completed! After 9hrs of hiking the slopes of Mountain Creek Resort in Vernon,NJ and ascending to the summit more times than I remember, we made it to the finish line. Was grueling but so worth it!

Ooh, thanks for pointing that out, because I plan to be traveling then, too. :grimacing:

Please email support@dietbet.com because they can sometimes accommodate an early weigh-in. As mentioned, members can also submit an early weigh-in and reuse it within 48 hours. Support can help lay out your options!

Today I’m 3.9lbs past my final round 6 weight and 9.2lbs away from the weight goal I set for myself last March. A total of 89lbs down since then. I joined Diet Bet specifically to keep me focused on my goal and on track especially after the holidays because winter is the hardest time for me to stay motivated (sleep > exercise 😂). Recently invested in a 25lb weighted vest for my 6 mile mini stepper workouts and it is definitely a game changer 🔥 Happy Sunday ☀ I hope you’re all enjoying the day!

Great work!! And good reminder to get back into my weighted vest walks, too!!

Just ordered 2 new swimsuits, a size too small. Motivation? Or setting myself up for heartbreak... Let's find out! Only 1.5 months till the pool opens. :/ I've been out of the game for the last 2 weeks - time to kick it back into high gear!! Weights, counting calories, recommitting!

If you want it to be your motivator, try it on every few days, take pictures, then hang it up in your room somewhere you’ll see it all the time.

We can do it!

Weighed-in just past my round 5 goal this morning by a tenth of a pound. Surprised and happy since I had been carrying up to 8lbs of water weight from a heavy workout week of 2 workouts/day M-W (dropped 5lbs since Friday morning). I still have some soreness and can tell my legs are still carrying some water weight, but hoping to have another little drop tomorrow morning as well.

Just so it’s clear, it’s only a 1lb drop from last Sunday, my weekly weigh-in day. I’ve been weighing myself everyday for over a decade to understand my weight fluctuations and how everything can have an effect. As a data driven person this is a good thing for me, but is definitely not something that everyone should do.

When you approach the data in a healthy manner and don't let it overly excite and overly depress you, it helps you to see what habits work and what do t.

I found out that I can lose weight between going to bed and waking up if I have seven hours sleep and if I worked out and if I eat three hours or more before I went to bed. But if I don't get sleep or if I don't give myself some time to digest before going to bed , I actually see that even if I do all the other good habits, it doesn't help me..

Trying to fast in a healthy way between 7 PM and 11 AM, trying to get seven hours sleep, trying to drink lots of water and green tea, and trying to get to the gym at least 4 to 5 days a week , and walking at least 15,000 steps seems to be what works for me

Sleep plays a big role in losing weight. I also generally don’t see the scale drop with less than 7 hrs of sleep. But you also need to be able to differentiate between actual weight gain and water weight. You have to eat an additional 3500 calories above your maintenance caloric intake to gain a pound of fat. Water, waste, sleep, muscle soreness, medication, inflammation, and so many things can cause upward fluctuations of the scale. So the day to day is less important than the weekly trend. I watch the scale go up Monday-Friday because of how my leg muscles hold water from working out. It generally takes me a 30 hr rest period after a week of working out to drop that water weight and the additional loss on top shows that I everything I did during the week did work despite the scale ticking up all week.

I also weigh myself everyday and see it as data. But I agree - it’s not for everyone!
