I would totally do that, I just try not to even get started with any kind of trigger food, sugar is sooo addictive. You gotta find a healthy treat you can enjoy without over doing it, I go for Lily's chocolate, it's sweetened with erythritol and monk fruit or stevia. Or keep your favorite fruit chopped in the fridge. My friend loves dates with peanut butter and dark chocolate

The initial and Round 5 are the only mandatory ones.
Unless you make the weight and want to get the $ for that round, then you have to weigh in that round, too.

Hi Kelsey! You may miss any of the first 4 weigh-ins and still stay in the game (you will miss out on half the monthly bets that are alloted to each round), but Round 5 is mandatory.

  • Down 14 lbs. this month and beat my Round 1 goal by 2.1 lbs., so I’m that much closer to my Round 2 goal. I see a little bit of a difference, but it doesn’t look like 14 lbs. worth to me.

I see a difference! Your upper body has definitely slimmed down! Keep up the good work! And I agree with using a "goal" outfit or pants, that is always a nice motivator instead of constantly obsessing over the scale!

Whenever I would self-sabotage in the past, it meant my mindset was off. When I wasn't fully committed, I would do this. But the best advice is to know that you can always get back on track. Our downfalls do not define us.

Yes. When it's something I know I self sabotage with, I try to sabotage - proof my plan when I figure out good ways to counteract it. Like knowing I get too tired to exercise, but also knowing in the long run I will have more energy if I exercise now to invest in that future energy. Or sometimes I have been totally caving to the bedtime snacks and ruining all the effort I put in to calorie counting for the day and staying on track feels like it's "for nothing". But to counter that I am now doing intermittent fasting where my fasting window includes bedtime - so no more evening snacks, and I am not counting calories in my eating window so I am not as likely to feel discouraged by "messing it up." Only been doing this a few days now but its working for me so far!! Gotta know our sabotages and outwit those mindsets where we can!

Anyone else get bothered when you’re seemingly doing everything right, Definitely at a calorie deficit and the scale hasn’t budged? I have to remind myself it’s only been a week. Chill
The thing that really isn’t right about this is I have actually lost weight. I’m down 9 pounds since December 29. But the scale hasn’t budged in a few days and that bothers me? lol Maybe it’s time to put the scale away?

Thanks Kathy I’ll try all of that but I’m not going to switch up what I eat. I like to eat the same thing everyday.

A second scale for a reality check is a good thing. Found that out the hard way.
I also believe in weighing in daily first thing in the morning, logging that with food and salt intake, as well as time of the month.
Big influence on daily weight changes.

Does anyone have any non alcoholic beers they like? Lower carb, but I haven't found ones I LOVE yet.

Brooklyn Brewing and Lagunitas IPA are my top.

I really enjoy Athletic Brewing Co. Their Run Wild IPA is my favorite!

I don't know about the carb content, but I love the Sam Adams Just the Haze, and Collective Arts Emerald Dark is really good (but carb content says 19...). If you're into IPAs, Partake has a great 10 calorie hoppy water, more of a beer like flavor/punch than just the regular Hop Waters.
