This month has really been a challenge. It's our busiest time at work and balancing that with my health has been stressful, which translates into bad eating habits and moving around less for me. I wasn't sure I could stick to my goals and I had resigned myself to giving up. There were times I looked at my scale and felt discouraged because I wasn't loosing as much as when I started. But then I remembered that I have more energy, my mind feels clearer, and I feel happier than I have in years. Any progress is better than no progress at all, and I would never want to go back to not feeling as good as I do now.

What has kept you motivated this month?

M B, I felt every word of this ? Thank you for being so real ?

This month was a struggle for me, too. I had days where I stared at the scale and thought, “What’s the point?” ? I felt stuck, tired, and ready to quit.

But then I noticed something.

I wasn’t crashing midday anymore ☕ I had more patience and energy and felt a little more like myself again.

That version of me who was always exhausted? I never want to go back to her.

What kept me going was reminders like this. You showed up. You shared your truth.

And that gave me the push I didn’t know I needed. Posts like yours remind me that we’re not alone in this. We're doing something hard, and we’re doing it anyway ???

So thank you, M B.

You helped me today more than you know ✨

Inspired by the Steve and Eric's posts about walking with their daughters, how does everyone get their steps in each day?

I've been taking the bus to and from work and trying to leave my car at home as much as possible as a way to work in more steps naturally. I'm really fortunate to have bus stops that are not too far away from where I live. I've also thought about getting a small walking pad for my office at work, but it makes me self conscious to think about my coworkers listening to the noise of it everyday. If anyone has any quiet walking pad recommendations, I would sure appreciate it!

Maybe you could walk past your bus stop to the next one? Or get off early?

I try to go for a walk first thing in the morning. Otherwise I find myself pacing back and forth in my house, which is less than 50 steps one way (clearly I've done it once or twice) trying to make my goal when I am ready for some shut eye!!

I live in the city so M-F I walk to and from the subway and bus stops for work. HOWEVER-

The city is Jakarta, not known for its great infrastructure, ha! Though it has definitely improved over the past 5 years.
So depending on which location I’m visiting, my commute usually involves significant walking distance (still better than taking a taxi, which while super cheap can be stuck in traffic for ages!)

Anybody use Stevia?

I have been using Sweetleaf 100% stevia leaf extract...but I think it is less sweet than before/previous years...I don't know...just not as good.

Anyway, I just bought NOW foods betterstevia 100% stevia leaf extract, to try it since it was WAY cheaper AND it got tons of great reviews on Amazon. Hopefully, it tastes good! $40 bucks for 8 ounces.

The less (no) sugar I eat, the better. Low carb/high fiber bread too.
Stevia in my coffee and yogurt and dessert snack is a must for me. (way better/healthier than Splenda).

I'm with you on the no/low sugar journey. I have a major sweet tooth, so finding the right sweetener has been a must. I find stevia to have an aftertaste that doesn't work for me, and erythrol gives me a stomach ache. I like a blend of allulose and monk fruit as sweeteners.

Steve

Yeah, I hope the new Stevia extract is "the right one"

  • Okay got my sw submitted hopefully accepted and a bonus before pic. I am so nervous about this one. I lost 25lbs this year but for a week straight i cant seem to get my head in the game and then I'm going into the second half of my journey to hopefully bring me to goal which is a weight i havet been since like 21.

I know these transformers are managable just month 1 and 2 that are a bit harder. I lost weight very easily just staying consistent the first 20lbs i only lost 5lbs in april and i was mostly very focused. I'm just convincing myself to please stay consistent. This is important to me.

Ive found specificially the warmer weather has made me wana have beers every day and skip meals then end up eating like shit. I got this.

    Time for a mental reset.

This is my first transformer so it's really inspiring to see someone else's success. Keep up the great work!

I relate so hard with the struggle to not have a beer now that we're heading towards BBQ weather. I was just at a cookout yesterday and sad to say I did indulge a bit more than I wanted to. But it's okay, today is another day!

The past week has been a mess and I'm still not feeling back to normal yet just from eating like crap for a week or so but i know I'm commited. You got this M B
