I'm doing pilates right now and aiming for a minimum of 10,000 steps a day. Also, tracking my food and water intake.

I am doing Chloe Ting's summer shred, counting my calories, hitting my protein and got a giga waterbottle to help with water intake :p

Hi everyone! Im from Texas and I’ve done several dietbets in past years. I’m excited to be in this group. I just got back from walking 300 miles on the Camino in Spain with my son. We had to come home early because I tore the meniscus in my knee. The food in Spain is so different and I have already gained 7 pounds since I came back two weeks ago. I’m doing this to motivate me to get that gain off plus more.

Happy Monday and welcome to Day 1! We're officially underway, and we're so glad you're here.

If you haven't already, introduce yourself! Tell us where you're from, how you found DietBet, and whether this is your first game or your fifteenth. We love getting to know everyone.

Now that the game has started, take a few minutes today to make a plan. You don't need to overhaul your entire life this week. A few small habits you can actually stick with will take you much further than trying to be perfect.

Plan your meals - Write down what you're having each day and have the ingredients on hand. Or do some meal prep! This leaves no reason why you have to go out or grab something quick that may not be as healthy.

Plan your workouts - Treat them like work and show up even if you don't want to go. You are the boss and you need to be tough on yourself. You'll always be glad you did! 

Track your water intake - Water is essential and we have to drink it! For some of us it comes naturally but for others, it's a chore. Find a way that helps you enjoy it and make it happen!

Track your food - It's easy to forget about those little "grabs" we do when we see snacks on the table. This will keep it real. Whether it's writing it down or just taking photos, the accountability really helps!

Get enough sleep - Getting adequate, quality sleep is an important part of a healthy weight loss plan.

Have fun and relax - Self care is important too!

Hi, I’m Melanie from Missouri, USA. I did a few diet bets several years ago. I’m currently doing a year long exercise and diet program. No fads, just the standard recommendations.

I started with just a fiber goal and walking. I added a protein goal and cardio 3x/week. I feel like it really clicked when I figured out 30g of fiber, 90g of protein, and cardio. I’m currently working on adding strength training.
