  • I’m not giving up, but the chances of me hitting my goal for this bet are slim (ha) to none. I’m still up a few lbs from my initial weigh in, and that’s frustrating. But what I’m (re)learning is that this whole losing weight thing takes real effort (duh, I know). And I’ve been reminded of how much better I feel when I’m making that effort (see my sweaty selfie photo from 2019, the healthiest I’ve ever been).

    I’ve got meal kits set to be delivered again this week, I’m already mentally preparing my lunches, and I found a new workout I want to try. I’m also ordering a new band for my Garmin because the old one was irritating my skin.

    It’s time to turn this around!

I’ve been struggling to keep up with my 4 year old. I’m tired of saying that mama doesn’t have the energy to play. He deserves better, and so do I!

  • I cut a few hundred calories from a favorite takeout meal today by making a few small swaps. Totally satiated and so delicious!
    12 piece grilled nugget meal —> 8 piece
    Large fry —> medium fry
    Chick-fil-a sauce —> ketchup
    Diet Coke (always)

Weight loss is never linear in my experience. I'll go up for seemingly no reason, and then a loss happens after what I think are some not-so-smart choices. All we can do is keep at it! You got this!

  • I didn’t weigh in today, but I’ve made better food choices, been chugging water, and spent the past hour chasing my kiddo around the driveway on his bike. Feeling good, which is what it’s all about!

The scale’s gone up 3 lbs since Monday. I KNOW a big part of that is because of takeout food… so I’m making a plan now to resume my meal kit service next week and make better takeout choices in the meantime. I’m also going to check in here daily to hold myself accountable, so I’ll see you all tomorrow :)

Hey all, I’ve managed to weigh in at the heaviest of my lifetime (besides when I was pregnant). Very upset with myself, however I’m coming out of a shoveling back injury from which I was unable to be active for 3 months, so I’m trying to give myself grace. Here’s to all of us this next four weeks to put our noses and feet to the grindstone!!!!! Good luck all !!!

I injured my back four months after my son was born. I didn’t take the time and effort to follow through with PT, and now 4 years later I’m still paying for it! Don’t make the same mistake I did… Take good care and move ahead at the pace that works best for you! You’ve got this!

Focus on eating more protein. I have a 1 year old who is a terrible sleeper and I always reach for carbs when I’m tired! I need to be better!
