  • Nailing my diet so far this year! I got to have TWO pizzas tonight because I had a busy morning and only had a protein shake for breakfast. Also get to have dessert as well. Also got 14,000 steps today.
    My meals:

    Breakfast:
    Fairlife chocolate shake

    Lunch:
    Turkey lettuce boats
    (Salmon cream cheese, Carrots, cucumber, turkey, dill pickles and sugar free honey mustard)

    Dinner:
    Two protein pizzas with shrimp and Turkey pepperoni

    Snack:
    1 apple
    Reese’s peanut butter chips (28g)
    Coconut built bar

    Needed another coffee since I got up at 4:30 am with thinaddictive biscotti.

    Dinner: baked trout , salad and basmati rice with herbs .

  • Love this quote! I've been doing DietBet since last April. I've won exactly 75% of the bets I've been in. 50% of those I missed by less than a pound but at least I lost weight. The bets really do help keep me accountable, I love the support from the groups, and I hate losing money! I've lost 80 lbs in the past year. I have about 40 lbs to go to get to a healthy weight. Consistency is key. Let's do this!!

Good luck. I’m also working my way back in running but it’s due to having 1/3 of my lung removed. Still out there even though I’m much slower now. Good job!!!

You need an actual increase of 3500 calories to gain a pound. If you are weighing every day it’s water weight from the workouts or sodium.

Need some advice how to get yourself to exercise. This is my downfall. I'm a very busy person so to find a few minutes to exercise is really hard

If weight loss is your goal you don’t need exercise. Exercise is for your heart and overall health. Weight loss is 80-100% diet. If you’re asking because you simply WANT to exercise you got awesome advice from the others here. If you’re asking because you think you have to exercise to lose weight, that is false and not necessary if your diet is on point.
This is how I managed to pack on 50 lbs and still run multiple marathons per year.

  • Yesterdays step count for me. While it looks high, and 10,000 is my daily goal, these were not all “exercise steps” (meaning a run or a walk, but rather just steps doing stuff around the house which I really don’t care about). I weight lifted yesterday so no running and therefore my step count was lower.

I ran a 4-mile trail race at 8am followed by a New Year’s Day 5k at noon and then two small walks with my puppy.
