Just got back from a five day trip - ahhhh was I scared to weigh in but I did it! Managed to still loose almost one final pound to weigh in and hit goal! I drank tons of water and have now changed to be a gluten free diet vs trying to do keto. My sister is GF for health reasons and it was easier to do gf this trip with her and stick to diet that way vs worry about carbs - not all carbs are bad and now doing gf I feel great! Doing this lifestyle change will take time for the scale to catch up with me but I feel great and that’s all that matters!
30 days so far sugar kick gone
Watch what I eat
Water water water
Working out 5-6x a week and living it

I'm curious about what you all do for exercise. Right now, I do aerobics at home 6 days and lift weights/strength train every other day. My goal is to be able to run a 5k next year...if my knees are willing.

I do yoga, and I walk daily. I am also playing some StepBet games simultaneously. They help me maintain my step goals.
Now we're having monsoon here in my city. Hence, I do yoga indoors or some freehand exercises, pilates, etc. Before monsoon, I used to go swimming regularly.

Nothing yet. I am working on my eating habits for now. With work and the kids, I dont really have time to work out. It is my goal to make time and start some type of workout.

  • Sometimes you can’t see the subtle results but doesn’t mean they aren’t there! Weight loss for me is the side effect, for now my wins:
    =gave up sugar!
    =working out and it feels good
    =drinking more water (still need to do better here)
    =holding myself accountable for what I eat
    =getting my headspace where it needs to be

    Only 8.2lbs down but I think I have done more wins than just that!

    Keep going team progress is baby steps. Each small win is still a HUGE win!

  • Woohoo! I am so proud of myself!
    Worked out 5 days in a row, woke up last 3 days full of energy and beat my early alarm wake-up .
    Haven’t touched sugar all week- this is my hardest thing to kick… I can officially say now “was” my hardest but I did it!!! I been tracking what I eat and low carb keto -ish diet has worked for me. I just need to crank up my water to next level but I am so proud of how much I have turned around . My moto is “workout as hard as I want this!” And I have pushed through being tired, excuses, pain of muscles … I am officially down 6lbs of fat junk since starting journey last week. I know this is the easy shed and it will be harder from here but I know I am doing the right steps to keep it going!

    My pic is after an early morning workout so I don’t look all that put together yet! Haha progress

  • Hello! This the third kickstarter I have joined, I have won the last two months. I am making great progress with my weight loss. In February before my son was born I weighed a mind boggling 310. I started playing around 270 I am down to 250.7. I am super thrilled to be entering into the 240’s soon- haven’t been this size since high school. My short term goal weight is 220, I hope to be 185 by the end of the year. I love to read everyone’s stories! I try to post often as it keeps me motivated! Good luck everyone, I look forward to keeping up with you all. ?

Feeling a little defeated. I've been better at moving, more intentional and consistent, but the scale goes up. I know I need to 1.) Give my body time to adjust to the movement, and 2.) Lock in food/calories. I've been good at portions and no unnecessary snacking with high protein meals which is way better than what I usually do. Just in my head.

Oh, I feel this! But, I think a lot has to do with calorie intake. If your metabolism is shot, then your body just packs on calories as fat. Find out your base and try to do a deficit. Myfitnesspal is great
