  • Day 16
If I’m honest, the motivation isn’t really there today. And that’s the thing nobody talks about enough motivation isn’t going to carry you all the way through. It’s great when it shows up, but most days… it doesn’t. What actually moves us forward is showing up without it. Drinking the water even when I’d rather grab something else. Making a balanced plate when takeout would be easier. Going for the walk even when the couch is calling.. and let me tell you, the couch has been calling!!!!!

Day 16 is proof that you don’t need to feel inspired to make progress you just need to keep doing the small things that add up. Discipline > motivation, every time.

I have been working a lot on home improvement stuff in our home which has been a nice distraction to keep me busy and away from snacking. My gym routine has been lacking and I’m trying to get the discipline to lock back in, hoping tomorrow is a better day! I have been cooking meals at home so that’s a huge win. This was a cauliflower rice dish with chicken! I baked it in the oven and it was perfection!

There is no such thing as “Motivation”…it always comes down to dicipline.
Motivation is simply a feeling that often leaves as soon as it comes. If that feeling hits, I make myself react before it fades away.

Kristi R.

Franny, we love you! Thanks for sharing!!! You can do it! I’ve followed your journey for years!:tada:

  • Day 10 and I’m leaning into the tiny wins.
Not every day has to be about perfection, or hitting every single goal. Tonight I’m choosing the simple things: cooking a real dinner instead of skipping, drinking another glass of water, taking a short walk to clear my head, and going to bed earlier than usual. Tonight I made a shrimp & potato skillet with broccoli! Protein, carb and some veggies!

It’s those small choices that build momentum the kind that carries us through the harder days when motivation feels low. Day 10 is a reminder that the journey is really just a string of repeated little decisions. The scale will follow, but the habits come first.

If today felt messy for you, it’s okay. You can still end the day with one win that sets the tone for tomorrow. Finish the night strong with me what’s your tiny win going to be? 💪

I just steps on the scale, and boy did I get an unpleasant surprise. I stopped going to the gym the whole summer, and the eating has been out of control lately. Ok. Let’s start here. Here’s to dropping the weight. It’s a never ending circus, isn’t it? Franny, PLEASE provide that extra source of motivation!! Good luck to all!

Hi Anna! I know exactly how you feel! I have been training for the Golden Gate Half in Nov, but I went on a family vacation and ate way out of control. I had gained 5 lbs before, and then I gained 5 more lbs during my trip. I have run about 3x, about 1x a week. and have now missed about 3-4 weeks of training. 10 lbs makes such a big difference for me while running. I can really feel it! I am definitely looking forward to getting back on track! Good luck to us all!!!

Anna M.

Good luck Tisha! Lots of running to do!

Take a walk for 1-2 hours. And don't eat after that. It helps me lose 2oo-300gramms.?

Kristi R.

Fasting is not for everyone… it’s gets so much easier, the more you do it. It works for me. 16/8hrs or 18/6hrs ( 1st # is your fasting hours, 2nd # is your eating hours.
Your choice on times of day and your choice on calorie intake.
You can do it every other day or a couple days in a row… whatever your body feels best at. ??
