Does anyone know how close you have to get to goal weight? This morning I was shy just .3 pounds of my goal. So less than one half of a pound. If that happens tomorrow is it considered a missed goal?

Well I’ll just hope for the best.

Drinking water more helps me! Make sure to weigh after your morning tinkle before you leave haha! Good luck and safe travels!

  • Two days left and I’m 2 pounds short! 😤
I’ll be honest - the last couple days have been rough. Between the start of school and work getting crazy busy, I’ve been feeling stressed and scattered. My morning workouts have taken a hit, my stress levels are up, and I haven’t been able to cook regularly like I usually do.
But you know what? The deadline is Sunday and I’m NOT giving up my money or my progress!
Here’s what I’ve learned so far: focusing on WHEN I eat (rather than obsessing over every detail of what I eat) has been a game-changer for maintenance mode. And this challenge has reminded me that a goal without a deadline is just a dream - I don’t want to be stuck in permanent dreamer mode! Today, I’m hungry, I’m cranky, but I’m DETERMINED. The motivation that was missing before? It’s back with a vengeance because I can see that finish line.
Already thinking about my next DietBet and not my next meal.
To everyone else in the final stretch: we’ve got this! See you on weigh-in day. 💪

For me, setting the tone for my day helps when I'm hungry and cranky. I try to start with meditation and yoga. Have water before breakfast. And for me, intermittent fasting has been KEY! If I "can't" eat before a certain time, I won't eat before that time. I like rules! We got this!

Holly K.

Did you make it? Good luck! I have a pound to go and really think I can still do it by weigh in.

I’m kind of a mess. I had pizza last weekend and the bloat has taken all week to come off—but, it hasn’t all come off because I ate my weight in feeling yesterday. I’m right at 50% of my goal even though I was at my goal last time this week. So I know it’s sodium and excess processed food and not real weight gain (maybe a half pound or so), but really. This weekend we are camping and eating out for dinners both nights, followed by campfire s’mores. So we’ll see what Mondays weigh-in will be. Shrug. I am ready to get refocused on Monday. I know I can drop it, since I was already there. But some
Hormonal issues I’m having are making it much harder to see sustained progress. At least I haven’t gotten back up to my highest point of this challenge, and that’s a good thing! But my goal is 149.8 by Oct 1st. I can do this.

come on. no bread and cheese combos. the salt will clobber. no treats. no eating out until you win. sacrifice and sweat. sleep and water. go, and sin no more.

Courtney W.

Nicolas, I’m out camping and doing the best I can with the family—I actually ordered broccoli salad with my pulled chicken last night! But I’m not skipping beer in my favorite places for our last weekend of summer :)

I am totally back to it on Monday, though: Monday through end of challenge will be no processed foods carbs! But I know I can do this. Megan, that real talk is no joke ;) and yes to the protein shakes if I’m really struggling. They’re def going to be my breakfasts next week and maybe lunches, too!

As Piwarki said. I havent exercised since starting the challenge and I am already down by 2kg and I am not even doing low carb as I am breast feeding. I eat protein rich breakfast, sometimes muesli with milk. Complex carb, protein and salad in the afternoon, a snack like whole wheat crackers and cheese at 3pm... i also eat fruit... night time it is veggies and protein and no carbs...i am sure u will drop if you become more disciplined with what u eat. I know it is not easy. I also have 2 kids and a newborn so I know it is not easy but i prep fast/easy healthy meals. A quick stir fry veggies or chicken, veggies, some boiled sweet potato etc. All the best!

Weight loss is never bit by bit for me. It's nothing, a little bit down, a little bit up, nothing, nothing, nothing and then down a couple of pounds. Don't be discouraged! Keep up your water and portion control. You got this!

Today I packed a lunch. My biggest problem with food is eating out too much.

Great job! I struggle with this sometimes as well. Even after filling my fridge with good options it’s just so easy to get takeout or fast food or something.

  • Welcome to Week 1!

Now that we're officially underway, let's talk about the most important "ingredient" for success: having fun! This game isn't about rigid rules or boring meals. It's about finding ways to make healthy living enjoyable and sustainable.

For example, did you know that laughter can actually burn calories? A good giggle can increase your heart rate by 10-20%, which means a 10-15 minute belly laugh could burn up to 40 calories. So go ahead, watch that funny video or call that hilarious friend—it's part of your workout!

What's the "weirdest" food combination that you enjoy? (e.g., peanut butter on a hamburger, dipping pretzels in yogurt)

I played Diet Bet five times a few years ago. I only won once, but I lost ten pounds overall. Now, 10pounds heavier than that, I’m going to try it again.

Same here - I’ve done DietBets before and had some wins and losses, but I know it’s a motivator that can work for me. Glad you’re here giving it another go as well! We can do this. :muscle::heart:
