This will be fun. Here my 5 point action plan to win
1. Drink water like it’s my day job
2. 8 hours sleep
3. Portion control and no sweets
4. 30 min daily exercise
5. sever a limb if needed 😂
Who’s with me? 😝

Drinking water is always the hardest thing for me!

Haha, if all else fails :muscle:
Steps 1-4 sound pretty good though! Good luck!

Sigh, just need to commiserate with someone. I've lost 35 pounds over the last few months. Hard-earned, and I have lost inches and look better (being tall hides things). I decided to check a waist measurement today, expecting to see 32-33 inches. Ya all, it was 37! Still an unhealthy number. When I had my head in the sand, ignoring just how much I had gained, that waist measurement must have reached the 40s. No wonder I'm still fighting hypertension. That was a wake-up call, and I am now even more motivated to work hard to get my waist measurement back into healthy numbers. Still, a bit depressing to realize how much more I need to do. Back a million years ago, I was the skinny one, the one who never gained weight. This is just revolting. Sigh. Ok, just needed to share, I don't have anyone in real life on this journey with me.

I was also the tall skinny girl for most of my life. Age and having two kids completely changed me. I’m coming up on 63 and struggling so much. I’m easily 40 pounds heavier than I was. Losing this weight is hard. Anyone else feel very tempted to use one of the weight loss drugs? Seeing the ads all the time drives me crazy. And I’m not implying they are a bad option or shaming anyone using them. Just wondering how others feel about them.

I follow a couple of people on IG who have gone on incredible weight-loss journeys, including the use of medical interventions. I can definitely say, having seen their transformations, that it was still a lot of hard work! One of them recently posted a picture from the beach on vacation with her family and said it was the very first time she’s ever NOT felt like she needs to lose weight. That was really impactful. I don’t think I’ve ever experienced that. I’ve always been fairly curvy, but even at a healthy weight I always thought I looked terrible. Now I WISH I looked like I did back when I thought I was so huge! I have considered the options, but am a bit anxious. In the meantime I’m doing my best to commit to making the changes I can, even one small change at a time.
