  • I saw “Make a Plan Monday” come and go, and since I missed it, I figured — why not make today Take Care of Business Tuesday?
    It’s 6:15 in the morning and I am not on my sofa scrolling. I’m at the gym, dictating this into my phone, running on nothing but coffee — and honestly? That feels like the perfect moment to officially kick off my intermittent fast for the day and get my IF week started.
    I had a long weekend starting Friday. I got a lot done, accomplished some things I’m proud of — but my nutrition goals? Not exactly front of mind. I told myself I deserved to treat myself, and maybe that was true, maybe it wasn’t. Either way, I did what I could to compensate by staying active. But here’s the thing I keep coming back to: you can’t outrun your calories. Don’t eat yourself into a corner that takes forever to get out of. Don’t pay your nutrition goals lip service — actually show up for them.
    So TCB Tuesday is a real thing now, at least for me. And I’m using it to encourage everyone here to make today a win — not the whole week, not some big dramatic turnaround, just today. Stack enough of those and the goals start to take care of themselves. (selfie with early AM friend)

  • I’m three weeks into my new lifestyle, and even though everyone is already asking “are you losing weight?” and even my 8 year old daughter saying “momma, you know how you’re on a diet because you’re fat—well you’re not AS fat as before.” ?? I swear I don’t see any change. The scale has changed and I FEEL different, but I don’t see what everyone else sees, got sure. Even when I think of 8 pounds?? I wouldn’t even consider that enough to notice. Ya know?

    Anyway….

You're doing great! I feel the same about myself. I feel better, my cloths fit different, and the scale shows progress, but I don't see it when I look in the mirror. Keep up the good work!

Reminder to myself and everyone: progress isn’t about perfection, it’s about showing up every day, even on the days you don’t feel like it. I went to the gym yesterday and only worked out for half an hour, but I still showed up and I’m proud of myself💪

Has anyone seriously cheated on their diet yet? And how much do you believe it set you back? Not recently, but over a month ago. I ate an entire 12” veg out pizza from Johnnys by myself. It was calling me & just too delicious that I couldn’t resist cause I was starving after work. I justified it telling myself it was a veggie pizza 😅. I definitely went overboard & it only set me back a couple
days cause I run a lot, but the worst part is I could’ve ate another one. I’m insatiable

I had a final exam yesterday for one of my adult classes. I get major test anxiety. Came home and nearly ate an entire box of gushers afterward. Getting back on track today, lol.

I plan on a frozen desert (like a Yazzo bar), built bar puff or sugar free pudding cup into my everyday plan. It is my reward for the day. Since, I count it in my calories and macros I get a treat without needing to cheat!
