Something to note about workouts: more or longer isn’t always better.

It’s easy to get into a mentality that you need to workout 60-90 minutes to really make any weight loss progress, especially when you’re up against a short time table, like this DietBet. But remember that it’s all about finding the balance between your calorie intake and workouts. You do not need to kill yourself physically, thinking that will help. In fact, it can hinder results, like creating more inflammation in your body and/or retain more water because your body is trying to recover. This also goes for double workouts in a day.

Instead, focus on a SOLID workout that may be closer to 30-60 minutes (max). You’ll be able to push yourself harder since it’s a shorter amount of time, while still getting a solid burn. Remember as well, that muscle activation from weight lifting does increase your caloric burn throughout the day vs. just cardio. 😉👍

I sit most of the day for work. I have found that a 45 minute walk, even if it’s broken up throughout the day and a shorter focused workout 30-45 minute is a sweet spot for me.

Somedays all I do is walk though too. I have been dealing with a muscle spasm in back lately so walking has been my primary.

  • Today’s late breakfast. Megan’s Cottage Cheese with apples, etc. this is the BOMB! Second day I have had this. Definite one of my favorites and go to. It’s delicious!!

Had a great Day 1. Day 2 in the works. Made Megan’s oatmeal for breakfast. I did substitute frozen cherries for the peaches/nectarines as I can’t eat those. This was the bomb and I always ate my fruit like this with oatmeal but I will say I used coconut milk instead of water, which I would always use. This was a game changer AND so much to eat. Glad I joined her app. Thanks Megan!! Now on to my Day 2 workout. I’m sure my legs will be in fire!! Definitely feeling yesterday’s workout and I love it. Joel is amazing with these workouts!!

I still say they should create a workout together. Hint Hint 😜

Is anyone having issues with the pictures for weigh ins. I did first thing this morning when I woke up. Then of course had breakfast and some water and tea. It came back I had to retake and I did that. Came back again I had to retake hours later and now I’m up 2.3 pounds from my morning weight. I’m frustrated to say the least. This is. It my first time doing this. I did this with Joel and Melissa a while back. I’m praying this next group of photos goes through now. I’ll keep you all posted.
