With less than a week left before the final weigh-in, now’s the time to make some tweaks if needed! If you’re feeling like you need a little more help, look at either amping up your workouts, or looking to drop a few calories in your daily intake. Remember, this is only to help meet a goal, not long term so don’t be afraid to play around with things a bit.😁👍?

I’m there but powered through with Aunt Flo and a sickness. Trying to reduce calories to maintain through Sunday!!! I want my husbands hormones though… he’s 10 lbs down! Me…. 5.4!! (I guess that’s also a 34 year old vs a 47 year old…haha!)
So determined! We’ve got this!!!

This challenge came at the best of times, I couldn’t be more proud of myself. I kept blaming my age 60 menopause and anything else I could blame ;) But in fact it was my laziness and nutrition that stopped me from reaching my goal. I have a long way to go but I am .5 away from reaching the goal on this challenge. I use MyFitnessPal and count every macro and push play in the Bodi app and halfway through the Liiftmore program. I feel myself getting stronger, healthier each day. It’s a journey that I am embracing taking it day by day. Thank you Joel and Megan for starting this challenge. It has been a game changer for me. :)

  • 5 days to lose 2 1/2 lbs. who else? That’s a lot but I’ve done it before by buttoning up my nutrition.

Hello! I could use some advice… and I might not be the only one in this situation :) My menstrual cycle is 24-25 days, and the end of the challenge falls right on the day my cycle is expected to start—so the day I’ll be the most bloated. I’ve almost reached my goal and I’m very confident I’ll hit it by the end of the challenge, but since I tend to gain about 3–4 lbs due to hormonal fluctuations, I’m afraid the scale will say I didn’t make it on that particular day. Do you have any tips for reducing hormonal water retention without having to cut water intake for three days? Thanks in advance for your help!

Like others said - thanks for posting this! This is such a real thing and it messes with your mentality.

My only suggestion that may help (and that’s a maybe) is to plan to do sweat sessions right before you weigh in. One thing that helps me keep that bloat down is leaning more into cardio for the 3 days before I start so I’m not retaining as much water - I’m sweating it out.

I love lifting and hate cardio, so I usually avoid cardio if I can. But I also know that lifting sometimes makes us retain water after intense workouts, so cardio may help you flush some water weight out and help you hit the diet bet weigh in day. Worth a shot, right?

Good luck and no matter what, know that you’re on the right journey!

I realized last night when trying to complete a tricep push up that I have a very weak core. I’ve been working out consistently for over 3 years now and my core is still very weak… I need to focus more on my core, do extra. What are some great exercises that focus on the core? I hate planks, but I’m thinking I’ll have to learn to love them. 😂

Usually the exercise we like the least is the one we need the most. Sometimes if I feel like I need extra core work to really tire those muscles out, I repeat Joel’s core portion of the workouts. So instead of 3 sets of the exercises, I would do an extra set of each, building up over time to doing 6 sets.

Valerie K.

Yes I like Joel’s extra core workout. I think I’ll start doing those too.

Just did my 3rd weigh-in and while I'm lower than when I started I'm still up from the previous weigh-in. Kind of bummed. But sticking to it because I know I'll make great changes in the long run
