Counting macros/calories really works! I work out consistently but was never good about counting my macros/calories. I always assumed I was doing well without it. Once I started counting I quickly realized I was eating too much if I wanted to be in a deficit and lose weight. I can’t believe I’m down 7.8 lbs in 1 month. Wild!

Final Dietbet workout completed and below the goal weight! Keeping nutrition on point the rest of the weekend and planning on doing the 25 minute speed train sample tomorrow. My weight fluctuates quite a bit so nervous it's not up on weight in day!

  • I've been feeling so good in my skin lately, and it's remarkable how long it’s been since I felt this way. I started this year committed to a fresh start, determined to get fit and finally shed the weight I had struggled with for years. Wow that's amazing! So great to hear you're feeling better about yourself and enjoying the journey. I agree 100%, Joel's workouts are a game changer. Going back to them helped me get out of a mental health funk earlier in the year.

  • Ok I had given up “hope” I would meet the goal.

    During week 3, despite careful tracking and sticking to workout plan —my weight was hovering around 2.5lbs lost and couldn’t budge it!

    Last week my eldest graduated HS and I stayed at a hotel to help her move out of dorm. I used the gym, went out for dinner (OMG MEXICAN INFLUENCED POKE BOWL!!! Yum).

    I relaxed a bit over the weekend and wasn’t as stringent with calories (mine is rather low) but still mostly was tracking all macros. I’ve woken up today with only 1 b left to lose. I was pretty active the last few days on top of workouts. Amazing? ??

    Maybe I CAN do it!!! I’m going to see CAKE at Surly Brewery on Thursday sooooo I will have to make good choices. 😜

  • So, yesterday I planned to wake up at 5:45 to get my workout done before work, but that didn't quite happen! I ended up staying up until midnight to pick my daughter up from work, and I was definitely too tired to rise early this morning. However, I made a promise to myself that once work was finished, I'd tackle that workout, and I’m proud to say I kept it! Tonight, I’m definitely aiming to hit the hay early so I can get into a routine of working out before I have to wake the kids up in the morning. I really want to have my workout completed before work, and with my new day shift, it’ll be an adjustment, but I know I can make it happen! ??

  • Changed up my banana oat pancakes this morning by making them as waffles instead. Felt like a whole new meal 😆 It turns out the mixture has more volume as waffles too.... I normally have 3 pancakes stacked, but only needed 2 waffles (same amount of mix used to make each).
