Well, I didn't hit my goal weight, but I have gained muscle. I can see more definition all over, especially in my shoulders and legs. My clothes fit better. So I am calling this a win. 2.5 pounds lost and muscle definition gained is good enough for me. ?

Hello! I could use some advice… and I might not be the only one in this situation :) My menstrual cycle is 24-25 days, and the end of the challenge falls right on the day my cycle is expected to start—so the day I’ll be the most bloated. I’ve almost reached my goal and I’m very confident I’ll hit it by the end of the challenge, but since I tend to gain about 3–4 lbs due to hormonal fluctuations, I’m afraid the scale will say I didn’t make it on that particular day. Do you have any tips for reducing hormonal water retention without having to cut water intake for three days? Thanks in advance for your help!

Like others said - thanks for posting this! This is such a real thing and it messes with your mentality.

My only suggestion that may help (and that’s a maybe) is to plan to do sweat sessions right before you weigh in. One thing that helps me keep that bloat down is leaning more into cardio for the 3 days before I start so I’m not retaining as much water - I’m sweating it out.

I love lifting and hate cardio, so I usually avoid cardio if I can. But I also know that lifting sometimes makes us retain water after intense workouts, so cardio may help you flush some water weight out and help you hit the diet bet weigh in day. Worth a shot, right?

Staying on track with your nutrition does not come down to just prepping your food and tracking your macros. Sleep is also an important factor when it comes to keeping your nutrition in check.

Not getting enough sleep can increase the hormone ghrelin which is our "hunger hormone". Think of ghrelin as the little gremlin that makes your stomach growl. Ghrelin increases your appetite and food intake making it harder to stick to your diet plan.

Getting enough sleep increases the hormone leptin. Leptin, unlike ghrelin, helps regulate hunger and helps keep you feeling full.

So...make sure you are getting enough sleep not only because it's good for your overall health but to help you meet your nutrition goals!

I had vodka, more than one:relaxed:and gained 1 of the 5.8 lbs I had lost as of Friday, which was bananas, so I am happy with a 4.8 loss for last week. My expectations for this week are lower, hoping for 2lbs, which seems more reasonable than last week!

How is everyone losing weight this quickly!?! I am tracking my food, hitting my macros (110g protein daily) and nothing is happening. I'm SO frustrated.

  • Actually weighed it all out!
    Ground beef, Black beans (leftovers already mixed together so I just estimated the rations 80/20), tortilla chips and an oz of herdez guac. Entered it into the cronometer app.

    I don't have a set meal plan just figuring it out as I go right now, the meal plan provided doesn't appeal to me much, but I may try a few things from it!

    I've got chicken wings thawed for dinner with some baby Bella sliced mushrooms.. I guess I'll see on this app what else is needed. :)

I’m not doing the meal plan either but I used chat get inputted my macros and kept modifying it with swaps until it suited my needs for the week and kept within my macros! It’s great.

You submit it through the app. Diet bet has an FAQ page if you're unsure how it works, but it'll have instructions when it's time to weigh in.
