Oh. My. Gosh. I don’t think I have the self control to be left alone with those!! :joy::joy:

DietBet Audrey R

Oh I’m not sure if that’s genius or trouble. Probably both…

Man. I’m embarrassed. I finished my last diet bet last Saturday. I was SO proud of myself! I wasn’t perfect but did really fairly well. Well… this week, having zero accountability, I gain FIVE pounds back. We had donuts, ice cream, ate out 4 times (crushed some chips and salsa) and now I feel like GARBAGE! I felt like I was really getting into a groove with the last diet bet but apparently not… I’m just really more mad at myself than anything. So let’s start again and keep the ball going this time!

I’ve been there many times (this weekend included) but as long as I’m on the zigzagging hill I’m still happy. Vacation, parties, family gatherings etc. is part of life and I’m going to enjoy life (and some treats every now and then!). Don’t feel embarrassed, you can’t do anything about the past. Progress is progress. We can do this!

Been there too. Glad I’m not alone in this!! Haha let’s do this :punch:

Whew! Last day and SO close! I’m 0.1 pounds away 😂😂😅 Today will be SUPER strict because I SO want to win! I feel like I should for sure be a winner unless something crazy happens 🎉 This weekend was my sons birthday and we took him to Great Wolf Lodge… I can say I did not eat very well BUT(!!) I didn’t gorge myself on ALLLLL the junk like I normally would have and I feel like that’s a win! Last day for this challange guys! Let’s go!!

That is DEFINITELY a win, Michelle! I hope you had a great time!!

I also didn’t consider that I had a week long vacation to the south with all the heavy delicious food. The last 5 days have been crazy strict with extra workouts to reverse that vacay gain. BARELY made it.

Way to filter the junk food binging. Every small step is a win. Hope you made it!!!!!

So let me share a little bit about me.

Disclaimer: I’m not trying to offend anyone. This is about me and me only.

I have not blossomed, not bloomed, but ballooned to 193 pounds. I have been living a life of stress and perimenopause for about 4 years. Between eating like crap, not sleeping and just being generally unhappy, I have absolutely let myself goooooo.

My 35 year high school reunions (I went to two schools during my childhood) are next year. I have decided THEY are the reason I need to make changes. It could be for my health, my family, my comfort, but truth be told, those reunions are my motivator.

I have joined more Dietbets in the last 10 years than I can count, I have given up hundreds of dollars, I have eaten more junk food and spent more time in recliners than any person ever should. But this time I am determined to make it stick. When I took my photos this morning I really realized how much I had let myself go.

I have started simply by cutting out the junk food and drinking probably 10 times more water than I had been (which was nearly zero ounces) each day. I’m going to make these two small changes for the first week and see where it gets me. I will add exercise and more vegetables to my diet as time progresses.

Thank you for your time and I wish luck to each and everyone of you.

I am so with you on this. I appreciate your vulnerability and honesty! I am feeling similarly to what you shared and it is time. Time for self care in whatever form benefits us…is how I see it. I’m rooting for us all!

I’m battling perimenopause too so I can totally relate. Great job getting motivated.

I find the dietbets where people chat in the comments and in the game feed more helpful and inspirational! Let's try to get it rolling! I'm excited that I've exercised for 3 days consecutively(started Sunday)! I hadn't done that in awhile. What's something that you've switched up since starting this bet?

Man, yes…. No nighttime snacking for me too, which is SO hard!

Yay! Keep up the great work! My fiancé and I are focusing on a higher protein way of eating. I have PCOS and he’s had the gastric sleeve so high protein is best for both of us.

I haven’t done one of these since 2018! But the last time I did this it really kickstarted my weight loss and I ended up losing 50 pounds! HOPING that will happen again. Since having my son I’ve gained 40 pounds on top of what I had already gained back. Here’s hoping this is that motivation I need! I’m actually really excited! Let’s go guys!
