Food suggestions please!
I pretty much dislike all raw veggies besides lettuce and cucumber. I am trying very hard to like other veggies. I’ll eat a good about of cooked veggies, but with summer/kids I want to have some health coke picnics.
I don’t like any sauces ( no dressings, mayo, mustard, cream cheese, sour cream, ranch, ect. I don’t even like syrup lol) So a couple questions:
What is your favorite PLAIN veggies?
Any recommendations how to flavor up raw veggies without a dip? I do chicken wings with dry rub.. I tried to do that but it’s so so strong on the veggies.

Trader Joe’s chili lime seasoning on celery with lime juice…not a dip, but not totally dry either. You could try it on the cucumbers…

Thanks for them suggestions. I do like everything but the bagel seasoning and use it on cooked veggies pretty often. I love the lime juice and seasoning idea

  • Mexican for lunch today to celebrate my husband's birthday but still stuck to my goals! I used to think i always had to avoid birthdays and social events until I learned how to make the menu work for me! I ordered chicken fajitas & asked if I could get extra vegetables (lettuce/tomatoes) instead of rice/beans & limited my chips. Sometimes i will also just get a taco salad without the bowl, grilled shrimp, or just make small swaps. Sometimes we have to live life in between our goals & be proud of ourselves along the way! So happy I even got this silly picture because we had no idea they'd be bringing him a hat but its a memory we'll remember haha <3

The strength I have not felt in 5 years after shattering my ankle. I joined the gym and started a circuit training class and it has been wonderful to see how my body can get strong again!

I had surgery Monday for a kidney stone. Doctor said no full workouts for a week. I can walk so I’m getting my steps in if nothing else.
I’ve been drinking so much water to help with the stone.
Scale is up so much today.
Next week will be very heavy cardio

I wore some pre-pregnancy shorts yesterday. Tighter than they used to be before the kids.. but still fitting enough to wear them again. Hopefully by the end of the month they fit great.

I managed to lose weight in 2016/17 and now have regained (luckily not everything) in my pregnancy. Now postpartum with borderline high blood pressure and reflux I am so happy to start losing again and feeling healthier and stronger again!

Thursday and Friday are my hardest days! I have an at home bakery and bake both days. It’s so incredibly difficult not to eat a bunch of carbs! Trying to limit myself to 1 because 0 would be unsustainable long term
I usually bake bread, bagels, cookies.

That’s very hard . I love to bake and whenever I do I can’t stop at only 1 cookie !!! But if you are doing every week you need to find a way . Maybe Have one and prepare your self a healthy snack while the batches are getting out of the oven .
