  • Weighed in this morning and made my goal weight! Now, I'm just waiting for approval. I did the LMSB sample workout this morning for something a little different, and we did bench skiers for a cardio move. I don't remember that in the actual 4-week program. I'm curious if I've totally blocked that out, or have I been doing a different program ?😂

Quick question re. weighing dried food like spaghetti. Tonight I made the spaghetti and veg with chicken from the menu and the recipe doesn’t specify whether to weigh it dry or cooked. So I weighed dry which is 1/3 over the portion size on the box and over 300cals. It was an amazing meal - and very large 😆 Curious what others are doing?

Thanks all!!

This may be too little, too late, but it's supposed to be dry weight/before cooking. Pasta simply absorbs the water it cooks in when being prepared which is why it increases in size, so I don't think the recipe would be accounting for H2O in its serving size. Besides which, asking someone to cook from a recipe involving post-cooking weight of an ingredient would be extremely impractical as the cook would need to guess at the dry weight and hope they picked whatever the post-cooking weight would be. 300 calories for your serving of pasta is not bad at all, especially if it's going with veggies, lean meats, etc. It becomes a different matter when those 300 calories are topped with Alfredo sauce, butter, etc. I would definitely go with dry weight for recipes!

Happy Monday!

How’d your weekend go?? Are there any tweaks you need to make this week?

I had vodka, more than one:relaxed:and gained 1 of the 5.8 lbs I had lost as of Friday, which was bananas, so I am happy with a 4.8 loss for last week. My expectations for this week are lower, hoping for 2lbs, which seems more reasonable than last week!

How is everyone losing weight this quickly!?! I am tracking my food, hitting my macros (110g protein daily) and nothing is happening. I'm SO frustrated.

  • Had an all-day training for work yesterday where lunch was provided. I packed my own and came prepared with snacks! It was a successful nutrition day yesterday!! I wasn't even tempted to eat the pizza they ordered. I knew I had enough to keep me satisfied:) Happy Saturday, everyone!

Hi everyone, my daughter is getting baptized on Sunday and we're hosting a big party with all the usual party foods. Anyone have tips about if it's better to plan on a cheat day or try to prepare separate healthier food for myself?

Always have a veggie and fruit platter :) those help you stay on track. I’d recommend a treat day, but try not to over do it

Amy T.

This probably won’t help much for this event but over time I’ve gently pushed my family towards better options at parties and holidays (“don’t we have enough carbs/casseroles? Could someone bring another veggie? I don’t think we need 4 desserts…could you bring a fruit tray?”) We end up with a better mix of healthy/less healthy options.

It’s looking like in order to do a progress weigh in (due today) I have to pay for diet bet???

I refuse, so does this mean I can’t move on or just that I can’t get the “weekly prizes”.

Why do u want to do a progress weigh in right now? I just update my weight in the unofficial spot. When the games are over, I'll do a final one.

Ammie O.

Haha I don’t want to do a progress weigh in I did the unofficial but it said to submit one and I was afraid if I didn’t I couldn’t move on … but looks like all is good :)

I just signed up yesterday. I see that some emails with the workout calendar and nutrition information have been sent but I never received them. I also see something about a Facebook group that I would like to join. Any information that someone can share? Thanks!

  • I just done LMSB chest on Saturday, so I did the 10R leg workout today. I took last week off of weights and did a lot of walking while on vacation, so my legs are toast!!
