DietBet is telling me I have 42hrs to submit final weigh-in which takes me to Wednesday at 1.34am? I am planning to submit tomorrow, Tuesday June 3rd however. I didn’t quite reach my goal, but I’m going to do everything I can in the next 24hrs!

It is the 3rd. I messed up the days. I also don’t know if I’m double commenting bc my app froze and then shut down.

Thanks ladies! <3

  • Ok I had given up “hope” I would meet the goal.

During week 3, despite careful tracking and sticking to workout plan —my weight was hovering around 2.5lbs lost and couldn’t budge it!

Last week my eldest graduated HS and I stayed at a hotel to help her move out of dorm. I used the gym, went out for dinner (OMG MEXICAN INFLUENCED POKE BOWL!!! Yum).

I relaxed a bit over the weekend and wasn’t as stringent with calories (mine is rather low) but still mostly was tracking all macros. I’ve woken up today with only 1 b left to lose. I was pretty active the last few days on top of workouts. Amazing? ??

Maybe I CAN do it!!! I’m going to see CAKE at Surly Brewery on Thursday sooooo I will have to make good choices. 😜

Just made my goal today. I have had some health challenges, so haven't been able to do the workouts, but I've been tracking my macros meticulously. Now if I can only keep it off for 5 more days!

  • So, yesterday I planned to wake up at 5:45 to get my workout done before work, but that didn't quite happen! I ended up staying up until midnight to pick my daughter up from work, and I was definitely too tired to rise early this morning. However, I made a promise to myself that once work was finished, I'd tackle that workout, and I’m proud to say I kept it! Tonight, I’m definitely aiming to hit the hay early so I can get into a routine of working out before I have to wake the kids up in the morning. I really want to have my workout completed before work, and with my new day shift, it’ll be an adjustment, but I know I can make it happen! ??

It’s definitely an adjustment trying to get it in before the day starts! But after a few days hopefully it will become the new normal for you. I always feel great if I do it and “one less thing to do” later haha

Love my morning workouts! Makes for a great start to the day :hearts:

My nutrition was off this week. I gained 0.7 ounces. I have 3.3 pounds to make 4%. I am really going to push not only to meet this goal but to continue consistent nutrition after this health bet!

I’m pushing too! I have been very on point with the nutrition..I need an extra week to meet the 4% according to my tracker though. Still committed to doing it! We’ve got this!!

Crystal P.

Agreed, you both got this!

I'm almost at my goal weight... Here's what I do: 1.track/ weight all my meals- plan my day ahead.
2. After the first week I lowered my calories a bit (about 50 cals for me (I was started at 1550).. I took it down again a few days after so it's at 1450). But I adjusted my macros so that protein would drop.. goal for protein is 125grm. I needed to do this because the scale wasn't moving for me but keeping my protein up helps me from being hungry.
3. I weigh myself daily to see if I'm on track or if I need to tweak anything (at this point I won't go any lower in my calories but I can tweakqcros a bit if I need to).
4. For me a macro split of 35% protein 40% fat and 25% carbs. When my protein and fat is high I stay fuller longer.
5. Get in 10k steps daily on top of working out (I'm using Joel's Spring clean calendar).
6. Getting enough Water 💦.
What are your tips? Good luck everyone!

Good tips! I enjoy intermittent fasting. I follow the fast like a girl method. It really helps.

Quick question re. weighing dried food like spaghetti. Tonight I made the spaghetti and veg with chicken from the menu and the recipe doesn’t specify whether to weigh it dry or cooked. So I weighed dry which is 1/3 over the portion size on the box and over 300cals. It was an amazing meal - and very large 😆 Curious what others are doing?

Thanks all!!

Naomi A.

This may be too little, too late, but it's supposed to be dry weight/before cooking. Pasta simply absorbs the water it cooks in when being prepared which is why it increases in size, so I don't think the recipe would be accounting for H2O in its serving size. Besides which, asking someone to cook from a recipe involving post-cooking weight of an ingredient would be extremely impractical as the cook would need to guess at the dry weight and hope they picked whatever the post-cooking weight would be. 300 calories for your serving of pasta is not bad at all, especially if it's going with veggies, lean meats, etc. It becomes a different matter when those 300 calories are topped with Alfredo sauce, butter, etc. I would definitely go with dry weight for recipes!

Did okay today but not great. Slugish and really tired. Pushed through the day.

I woke up sore and low energy today also. Decided to do the Insanity Recovery workout just to check it out for an active recovery day…and it was quite good! A little bit hard with sore quads though.

On the struggle bus with an injury. Been working with a massage therapist/trainer to get back on track. I have been training for a half marathon and even though I haven’t missed any runs they have been rough and I’m not improving very fast.

Meals have been on rice and repeat: breakfast is eggs, egg whites, spinach, and a piece of toast. Snack protein shake and a fruit. Lunch is ground chicken sausage, sweet potatoes, and carrots. I try to fit in another snack of a fruit and veggie but I’m not always successful. Dinner is usually pretty balanced and fits in my macros. Finally shedding some weight.

Oh and LOTS of water!!
