  • Wooo man, what a week! As I’ve said forever it seems, you can be stubborn in your goals, but stay flexible in your methods. Between kids out of school most of the week with all the lovely cold and ice, our youngest getting a pretty severe concussion Friday at recess (he’s good now and recovering), our oldest having a soccer tourney today with a windchill of 6 degrees, then getting tangled up with another player and hitting her head on the turf which prompted another ER visit and another concussion (very mild)…basically how I planned to end this week and game didn’t go anything like I planned.

First and most importantly, I am SO FRIGGIN’ PROUD of all of you! Whether you made the 4% goal for this game or not, you still won simply in the fact that you committed to taking four weeks to create healthier habits, both in your fitness and nutrition. Now, I hope you continue those habits moving forward! Remember, this game was about learning which habits and practices are not sustainable in your daily life and which ones you can keep focusing on to keep heading the right direction to your goals.

I realize I owe y’all another live stream and workout and again am so sorry the way this week ended! If you do have any burning questions that you are still needing answers for, please put them in the comments below so they can get answered!

Congrats to everyone again and THANK YOU for making me have the most fun job on the planet, in getting to continue helping people find the healthiest and happiest version of themselves!

Thanks for running this game! Perfect for what I needed this time of year

So happy to have hit my goal but more importantly to stay consistent for 30 straight days, even through my birthday! I’ve learned so much and will be continuing this journey hybrid calendar! Thank you Joel!

I did it!! 9,6lbs down and officially verified as a winner. And how did I celebrate? Giant hugs from my kids who saw mama getting healthy again and my normal breakfast of oatmeal, egg whites, pb and fruit with a ton of water. Not going to let this challenge being over trick me into thinking I can go back to my old habits. Getting a workout in shortly. Congrats to everyone whether you made the 4% or not!

Love the hugs as a celebration. And what a great example you are setting for your kids.
Congrats on winning!!
I agree that we all need to keep the healthy habits and momentum going.

If the scale isn’t moving in the direction that you hoped, you may be eating all the “right” things but the amount still counts. Be mindful of portions, if you haven't already, pull out your measuring cups or a food scale to get an idea of what your portions should look like on your plate.

Do you have to measure things forever? Heck no, that is no way to live! But doing it for a few days or a few weeks will give you a jumping off point to better eyeball your portions and it never hurts to check yourself every so often to keep you from getting portion distortion.

My goal was to drop the weight but build muscle. I discovered I have been losing body weight and muscle tone and there's an increase in fat percentage (According to Hume Health). This wasn't my plan BUT I'm continuing with the group and fine tuning the amount of cardio I do. Thanks for the motivation to try to drop some weight.

100% I have done that this week with pulling out the food scale and get a more accurate number for all the macros.

Final week! After 2 big first week drops, I lot 1.4lbs last week which is perfectly normal and I am happy with that. I might be coming down with something that’s going around my house so switched up yesterdays 10 Rounds with a 25MST and a very leisurely 2km run. Good luck everyone!

Got to the gym on Sunday with my sister! Going to start going together a little more to get some cardio in and hang!

I was actually very proud of myself and my choices over the weekend. We were at my son’s hockey tournament in Wisconsin Dells. I packed plenty of healthy snacks and utilized them so that I wasn’t starving and tempted to go overboard whenever we did sit down to eat. I ate a few more fried items & had a couple drinks that I wouldn’t normally have, but I also got my movement in each day and don’t feel bad at all. I enjoyed what I wanted to enjoy and left out the guilt and the bloat!

Progress weigh in number 2 and I am feeling amazing!! I am 100% on track with diet and exercise. Had some major cravings try to throw me off track but reach for a protein bar instead. I so needed this challenge.

Week 1 down and I am feeling so amazing. Down over 4lbs which is my normal on a first week when upping water, cutting alcohol, and watching my diet which working out. I k know the scale won’t move as much this week and that’s ok. I am back on track with this DietBet. Bring on week 2!!
