  • Wooo man, what a week! As I’ve said forever it seems, you can be stubborn in your goals, but stay flexible in your methods. Between kids out of school most of the week with all the lovely cold and ice, our youngest getting a pretty severe concussion Friday at recess (he’s good now and recovering), our oldest having a soccer tourney today with a windchill of 6 degrees, then getting tangled up with another player and hitting her head on the turf which prompted another ER visit and another concussion (very mild)…basically how I planned to end this week and game didn’t go anything like I planned.

First and most importantly, I am SO FRIGGIN’ PROUD of all of you! Whether you made the 4% goal for this game or not, you still won simply in the fact that you committed to taking four weeks to create healthier habits, both in your fitness and nutrition. Now, I hope you continue those habits moving forward! Remember, this game was about learning which habits and practices are not sustainable in your daily life and which ones you can keep focusing on to keep heading the right direction to your goals.

I realize I owe y’all another live stream and workout and again am so sorry the way this week ended! If you do have any burning questions that you are still needing answers for, please put them in the comments below so they can get answered!

Congrats to everyone again and THANK YOU for making me have the most fun job on the planet, in getting to continue helping people find the healthiest and happiest version of themselves!

So happy to have hit my goal but more importantly to stay consistent for 30 straight days, even through my birthday! I’ve learned so much and will be continuing this journey hybrid calendar! Thank you Joel!

Great job Jill!

I was .7 from my goal- SO CLOSE!!! But I’m still proud of myself for committing and losing weight regardless if I didn’t win!

I DID IT!!! I fought so hard last week. Ate right and got my workouts in. Yesterday morning I was a pound over. Yesterday I had my egg shakes and lots of water. After work I put on a sweatshirt and rode hills on my Spinner bike then did a 25MST lower body workout. I got up this morning and had lost that nasty pound! With 1 tenth to spare!! Whoo hooo!

  • Looking forward to weighing in. I hate the scale but I do love before and after pics. I took a before pic in October and one today. Thanks Joel for the motivation!

This amazing progress. Did you do a particular programme from Oct to Dec?

Karyssa B.

Awesome job! I took some pics throughout this and it really helped me notice the progress as the scale would go up and down each day. Congrats!

Swapped out vanilla Greek yogurt to plain greek yogurt. Muddled in some blueberries and topped with a sprinkle of granola. Any other recipe ideas to make it taste less like a bowl of sour cream? Lol thanks!

I use plain Greek yogurt in my protein shakes and sometimes I make it a protein bowl with my protein powder, banana, a mix of chia/flax/coconut seeds, some healthier peanut butter, maybe almonds or pecans. It’s so yummy! Sometimes just honey and some fruit works too! :) if I do it as a shake I add unsweetened almond milk and tend to skip the nuts :)

I add my favorite protein powder brand in cookies and cream or chocolate peanut butter, the smallest amount of mini chocolate chips, and a sprinkle of the jet puff vanilla marshmallows- it's an incredible dessert!

Got to the gym on Sunday with my sister! Going to start going together a little more to get some cardio in and hang!

I was actually very proud of myself and my choices over the weekend. We were at my son’s hockey tournament in Wisconsin Dells. I packed plenty of healthy snacks and utilized them so that I wasn’t starving and tempted to go overboard whenever we did sit down to eat. I ate a few more fried items & had a couple drinks that I wouldn’t normally have, but I also got my movement in each day and don’t feel bad at all. I enjoyed what I wanted to enjoy and left out the guilt and the bloat!

Progress over perfection!

Sharing for my own reminder and accountability. 😀 I work in a senior leadership role in a big hospital based psychiatry department. I LOVE my job but it’s very busy and this week it’s also rather stressful. My go to “f it” meal is a chicken cutlet sub and a bottle of wine. Tonight, I picked up a ready to bake meal of salmon with asparagus, some lighter canned cocktails, and cookies. Cookies more for my husband, but I’ll have one. I’m sure I can do better, but this is still more thoughtful than I typically am and I think I’ll end up in a better macro balance because of it!

Weather will be awful in the morning so if I feel I don’t have time for the more legs workout I’ll do a 25 MST lower body. There’s always a way!!!

That’s awesome that you identified what wouldn’t be great and did some swapping.

Heather B.

Great job!! One swap at a time and you’re already planning for tomorrow, which is setting yourself up for success!!
