  • Fat Blast 2026 Calendar workout using LIIFT4 from Week 8 with Shoulders/Arms. I had a real difficult previous week. The first half we had eleven inches of snow while still in this work training. The other half I was in the hospital until late Saturday. I’m thankful my manager is allowing me to make up all the hours missed so I can catch up as they record the training videos. I’m just mentally exhausted yet extremely grateful. This workout allowed me to take some mental clarity and therapy in this workout. I went lighter than usual so I could focus on the form because my last several workouts prior I went heavier. I was sweating a ton to where I had to pause the workout a few times to catch my breathing and wipe sweat off before starting again. I had a disappointing January month with my goals. I signed up for a round of DietBet. I lost the 4% weight loss challenge and ended up gaining six pounds after being two pounds away from winning the challenge. Just going to dust myself off and try again. I am going to work on lowering my overall blood sugar levels, it was bad in January, and increase my daily sleep by a hour. This time, won’t be focusing on the scale rather building on the habits and skills learned through this challenge. It’s all about growth. Dues are paid today!

Well done! You had a tough month - great job sticking it out!

Sorry you didn’t make your goal. It’s good you will focus on healthy habits.
Hope you are feeling better soon.
Good job pushing through!

  • Great job everyone! Sadly I missed my weight by 0.4. So close! But I can honestly say I was 99.9% on nutrition for 34 days, I worked out 34 days in a row, and lastly no alcohol for 34 days! This was all huge for me! Getting older sucks, never had the whoosh of water loss or any big lose numbers. I will need to learn how to deal with the slow metabolism. Goal is to lose 20 more lbs. Always love me some Joel for sure!

Good job!
Not sure if you walked during this challenge but I bought a walking pad and started walking the last 10 days or so and that seems to help my metabolism a little bit. Just figured I’d mention it.

You definitely still won! Great job!

Oh well rats. Unless I have a pound weight loss overnight and can weigh in in the morning I have failed this diet bet. Was successful in 3 previous diet bets so no biggie. I know exactly where I failed. In my 2nd week I fell prey to too much junk foods and high carbs in my work place lunch room when all the things I should not eat were brought in by co-workers.

Huge Congratulations to all of you who were successful! You rock!!!

For those of you who did not make the weight. Do not give up! This is just a stumbling block. Keep up the exercise and healthy eating. You’ve got this!

  • I made my goal with .4 pounds to spare. I’m going to immediately roll it into another DietBet. Sometimes it’s hard to feel like there’s a difference that’s why I find it very helpful to take pictures from all different angles. Excited for the next game and more progress:)

  • As a perimenopausal woman this DietBet was a huge challenge for me, but I'm so proud of the habits I've instilled and the slow but mighty progress I'm making towards healthier aging. Winning this has been a huge motivator to continue focusing on my health. Thank you Joel for another great DietBet!

I did it!! 9,6lbs down and officially verified as a winner. And how did I celebrate? Giant hugs from my kids who saw mama getting healthy again and my normal breakfast of oatmeal, egg whites, pb and fruit with a ton of water. Not going to let this challenge being over trick me into thinking I can go back to my old habits. Getting a workout in shortly. Congrats to everyone whether you made the 4% or not!

  • Going into this diet bet I doubted I could lose 4% in weight but wanted to focus on clean eating and losing body fat.
I lost 2% of the 4% Weight loss target which was more than I expected. I’m SUPER excited that I dropped 1.4% in body fat. I attribute that to 100% clean eating, despite hubby eating peanut M&Ms and Hershey kisses next to me on the couch almost every night. I definitely worked my will power muscle!
With all of that said I started round 2 of the fat blast calendar. Anyone else doing another round?
Thank you SO MUCH Joel for challenging all of us and for providing great workout programs. I truly appreciate you!!

  • Feeling good! Since I started this DietBet I've had several excellent energy days and fewer low energy days. I'm 2.5 lbs below my goal weight even though I added 1.5 lbs of fat from yesterday's planned cheat day. Yes, I actually do plan a no rules cheat day once a week. Nothing is off limits and no calorie restrictions. Yesterday was pizza, nachos, beer, and ice cream. Over 4000 calories. Today is recovery day and I'm back to the normal diet. I took the dog for a 30-minute fasted walk before breakfast. I'll probably put on some water weight today due to all the carbs I ate but still should make tomorrow's weigh-in.
