Ugh...weighed in this morning, met my goal but they kicked it back because the entire scale wasn't showing & the bathroom carpet was barely touching the edge of the scale. Never had the "referees" be so picky. Frustrating because I know my weight will be up tonight after working 12-hours & I dont want to do this again tomorrow. Sorry, just needed to vent

  • Last workout of the Fat Blast Calendar! Definitely a great one! Joel's programs are amazing! I wouldn't be where I am in my fitness goals today if not for Joel from Core de Force to LIIFT4, 10 Rounds and 25MST! I'll be adding LIIFT More to that list this year! I don't know if I'll hit the goal weight and honestly, I'll be ok with that because I've made my investment back into myself with the habits and knowledge I've gained through this challenge! At 45, I need to be doing what's in my power to better myself to be there for my wife and 4 kids. They are the ones that I care about!

    Although, it would be awesome to win the grand prize and train with Joel in person! Whoever wins it please enjoy the once in a lifetime experience!

    Just take it one day at a time and look to make it the best day possible!

Great job Jay! Thanks for the info on the sauna jacket. I'm very interested in the health benefits of sauna, may try to buy myself a sauna blanket if I can meet some of my goals this year. Hope you with this bet.

  • Got my 2nd workout in with my new sauna hooded tank! One day left in this calendar and then I start a new one on Monday! I've definitely been making better choices and I've learned some things during this challenge. Even I don't hit my weight loss goal, I'm going to keep showing up for myself every day! I realize it's a marathon not a sprint! I'm proud of everyone that took on the challenge and hope you have gotten something out of it!

Susan, it increases your sweat output during workouts and daily use. Another resource I'm utilizing to help with weight loss. I bought mine through Kewlioo. I also have their sauna shirts.

Trying to keep it together for the next several days. This was a hard dietbet for me. Movement wasn't a problem, it was the eating that was the issue. I have been indulging a bit too much and really need to reign it in. Anyone else in the same boat?

It’s the last Friday of the challenge and I want to leave some nutrition thoughts for after you finish the challenge and as you continue on your health journey…

Oftentimes when we go into a 4 or 6 week challenge and we have skin in the game, we hold tight to keeping our nutrition in check and that makes sense for our short term goals. I want you to remember though as the challenge ends and you move on, one meal or treat off plan is not going to make or break your health or your long term goals, just like one balanced “fit your macros perfectly” meal is not going to make you healthy. It is what you do MOST of the time that matters. Food is for fuel but sometimes food is also celebration and social and is meant to be enjoyed.


So, in your regular everyday mundane life where health is the long term goal, enjoy some pizza with your kids on a Friday night or a dessert at dinner on date night, don’t deprive yourself. BUT be mindful of what your meals look like MOST of the time so you have wiggle room for those more indulgent, less balanced food choices without compromising your health or happiness.
