I have officially reached the rabbit food portion of this Diet Bet. Lots of lettuce and carrot sticks! Making a monster salad for the game of lettuce, tomatoes, and cukes with red wine vinegar and lemon. Making a big pitcher of raspberry infused ice tea. GO BILLS!

  • I made white bean soup with chicken Italian sausage tonight. The soup also had potatoes, kale, carrots, and celery, so pretty healthy and it turned out delicious!

Get on the scale. Not looking won’t change your weight, and you might be pleasantly surprised! Most importantly, you can’t work towards a goal if you don’t know how far you need to go. Treat it like a roadtrip, but instead of lbs, it’s miles or kms. Would you avoid looking at the odometer? No. You’d look and do what you need to do to get back on the right road. Take the emotion out of it and treat it like a journey. There are obstacles sometimes but we deal with it and keep going. You can do this!

Thank you all so much for the support!! I was a bit nervous yesterday, but drank a ton of water, ate 10g of fiber per meal, and got good rest and made the cut this morning!

  • I might be judged for this one but…i made a high protein pudding. If you love vanilla pudding then try this recipe! I used a vanilla fairlife protein shake and whisked in 2 tablespoons of zero sugar vanilla jello pudding mix. Put in the fridge for about 20 mins and was ready to eat. It’s about 185 calories and 26 grams of protein. I know it’s not the “healthiest” but a great little sweet treat😋

Having a terrible Friday at work and just found out I am spending the weekend taking care of an elderly parent so weekend is gone! Right now I feel like giving up and just being fat! I want to eat and drink to make myself feel better or forget!! Ugghh! Life is hard sometimes!!

Why is it when the tough moments come, we turn to those things that hurt us? You have support here. Don't give up. Do the best you can! You are worth it. Perfection is not the goal.   • I’m so disappointed in myself for letting things get so bad with my health and fitness particularly over the past three months. As recently as September I was running 5k three times a week. This week I tried running again for the first time since September, and couldn’t even run for five minutes without stopping for a rest. It’s so tempting to just pack it in but I also know that I can get back there- it’ll just be tough, and I have to find new ways to fit exercise into my schedule now that I have a kid in school (which finishes hours ahead of the time I could have him in pre-school until!) and am working more hours so I have to be creative about finding opportunities. For accountability, here’s some pics of me forcing myself into running - or more accurately, fast walking, this week ????

Hi everyone, a late post. I fell a little bit off the wagon but not too bad. I had a chocolate Cadbury candy bar but I watched what I ate after that candy. I'm still on track, ate a little better this morning and I walked over a mile for the first time in a few days. I felt good after my walk and I will be doing more walking around the park in the cold sunshine. Well, I hope everyone is reaching there 4% and eating much healthier 😊 see you at the finish line.

Total deprivation doesn’t work. It just makes me give up faster. You had a candy bar so work out longer and have a big cucumber and tomato salad for dinner. It’s not an everyday thing.

  • Hope everyone is having an amazing week! I have two awesome things that are motivating me this week! Hopefully I can motivate a few others in the group!

    1) My 7 year old little girl Charley wanted to start working out with me. We are doing a fitness obstacle course and 30 minute cycling class every night now!!

    2) I have officially hit 11 pounds down in this challenge now! That equates to 4.9% so far for me! I have tracked every single meal since 1/1/25, I have worked out 4-5 days a week, I have made sure to drink tons of water, and I still am alcohol free since 1/1/25!! The only time during this challenge I have had what I call a cheat meal was last Sunday when my wife, me, and daughter split a small Buddy's thin crust and salad. I still tracked those calories which was still under 600!

Intermittent fasting is a great tool! I typically eat my last meal by 6:30pm and don’t break my fast until 11am or later. The book, Fast like a girl, is a great resource. Good luck!
