Same. It’s nice the posts from people but it doesn’t feel the same without the motivation and expertise of Illana. Which is the entire reason I sign up for these things. She must be fulfilling a contract by doing this last group, but as a professional I’d put in the same effort no matter what. A job is a job and you should do it right.

  • Tried the Pumpkin Pie Mug Cake for breakfast this morning (with some sugar free vanilla Greek yogurt) . So good! Really trying to focus on gratitude this morning because there’s just a lot of things not going the way I expected, including the scale. I’m going to take a few minutes today to write down some things that are going better than I expected. I really appreciate the words of encouragement in this group! I’ve been taking time to read posts and comments and I just really appreciate everyone sharing!

Squirrel for real. It’s too dangerous to use a the crossbow I have in my yard for small and fast moving targets like squirrels, but I have a tube trap that works wonders. They love cheerios and sunflower seed butter.

  • Does anyone else find they have issues losing weight while using protein powder? I’m 45 so I know a bunch of my metabolism and stuff has shifted but it always seems like losing is much harder with protein powder. I know everyone says you mush have all the protein (yes I’m being slightly dramatic) but I feel like it doesn’t really help me. This is the current one I have, and have noticed it with all of the ones I’ve used. I’ve cut back on my snacking, late night snacks, and have stopped drinking so things should be shifting more than they are.

I have found that myself. I’m 57. If I have a lot of protein powder it makes me gain. These days I only add 10 to 15 grams into my oats in the morning and no more during the day. Unless you’re a bodybuilder you don’t need that much protein.

I use Flavcity and notice that even though I make a heart shake as my meal with 350-400 calories it doesn’t fill me up for very long. And I add chia, healthy fat like avocado and fruit.

  • Breakfast this morning. Cloud bread cinnamon rolls with berries on top. I am a little confused by the scale the last 2 days but I am trying not to get discouraged and stick with the process. For me part of why I struggle with checking my weight daily is because I can get discouraged easily and with this challenge it feels more intensified to see the weight go down. Looking to keep a positive mindset moving forward!

Did everyone know that by signing up for this dietbet there would be no videos or anything? Very misleading that you have to be a bodi member. I had no idea it was advertised very differently.

I have asked for the info about the videos repeatedly! I have not gotten an answer from anyone. I hope she is safe and obviously that should be her priority but really this says bodi membership is required for the videos she keeps referencing but no link for how to get that or how to access if I get that. I did her last 3 dietbets. To have no info given about this is frustrating.

Instant Pot is my new friend! I think it'll make eating healthier easier because I just put all the ingredients in the pot and press a button. Now to get snacking under control...I love tortilla and kettle chips.
