Question for the walkers! I have a walking pad under my desk, and typically don't clock my time/steps. Just little spurts here and there. Today I was motivated by the stubborn scale to turn it on at an easy pace, start my watch, and just keep going for a bit while I worked.
For those who have tracked steps before, do these numbers make sense??
I think the treadmill is correct at calculating the distance, in an hour it says 2.64 miles. But my watch, on my hand working on my keyboard while we are casually moving and grooving. after an HOUR, says I've gotten 536 steps?! How are people getting in 10k? I seriously need to reevaluate my movement plan if I'm not even getting 1k after an hour, but I do think the wrist not swinging confused the watch? But now I am not sure if my step goal for simply "more time" needs to change, since it's not even half what I expected. I should've paid more attention before today! For those who have watched their numbers, does that sound crazy? Or how would you adjust?
