I haven't made any of the previous weigh in's, but I've been working hard the last 2 months to meet the 6% requirement for the last round. I just made it this morning!

Does anyone else have health issues that have made it difficult to lose weight? I have Hashimotos, hypothyroidism, POTS and joint issues all working against me. I'm trying to do all I can to win the last round.

What do you plan to do with your winnings?! For me, I plan to get my haircut at a 'nice' salon. It sounds silly, but I'm so frugal I have only cut my own hair twice in the last 2 years, and before that I only went to a Fantastic Sam's. I think it's time I treat myself!

I won’t be getting my money back this time, but when I won a transformer 2 years ago, I bought myself a really nice expensive pair of athletic shoes. I loved them. Definitely treat yourself to a salon visit!

Lauren, I am the same, cut my own and probably once a year! My son has a female barber he really likes, she cut my hair…something simple but cute. She only charged $15 ? I’m getting new Nike’s!!

  • Some days it feels too hard and maybe I should give up…some days it feels like I’m not making much progress at all…some days it feels like this is going to take forever to reach my goal- or worse yet never! That’s when I have to look back to remember where I started…20lbs down! Still a lot to go but a lot to celebrate too! My blood pressure has also gone down and has been consistently in a normal range for the last week! I’ve been right on the edge and next step would be medication so I’m happy to avoid that! 🎉

I don’t think I’m going to make this round. I’m just now getting back down to my previous weigh-in weight. A couple of birthdays, hosting and work stress, and other stressor curveballs made for a tough month.

I only made weight the first round. And then I basically stopped losing weight. It’s not looking like I will make next month’s goal either, but I’m pushing to win the final month :sweat_smile: I really hate losing my money, but I look and feel better than I did in December, so that’s a win. Hang in there!

I didn’t make this round . It’s a bit annoying as it’s very slow progress. I’m still playing catch up from last month too . So glad I’ve lost 7 lbs though so far and definitely looking better and it’s good for my health . Keep going everyone! Fingers crossed April is a super healthy month .

My weight is going nowhere and it’s extremely frustrating, but a couple people who see me very regularly have asked if I’ve been losing weight because I look slimmer. So even though I won’t win this month yet again, I am looking—and more importantly FEELING—better.

You are obviously doing something right!! Good healthy weight loss is slow and sustainable, but for the sake of our investment in this game it can be frustrating if it's a little too slow :disappointed: keep making small sustainable changes, don't stop, it is still possible to catch up :muscle:

I have lost 15 pounds so far through diet only, which goes to show how awful my eating habits were 😅 I’ve worked on portion control, not eating after dinner, and only drinking water. I should be really proud of those 15 pounds but that little voice in the back of my head says I could have lost more, which I definitely could have! In fact in past diets I have lost significantly more. The problem is that wasn’t sustainable. With what I’m doing now I’m not withholding any foods from myself, I’m just lessening the amount which will be way more sustainable in the long run. This month I’ll be working on a mental goal by trying to tell that little voice that slow and steady wins the race 🐢

I’m not making my weight this round. In fact, this morning I weighed more than I did at the end of the first round. That’s disappointing and a bit discouraging, but clearly I haven’t REALLY been putting the work in. If it was easy to lose weight, I wouldn’t join a bet to push myself to do it. I’ve put a reasonable plan into place and I’m committing to it. I’m determined to win the remaining rounds.

So I won’t be reaching my round 2 goal and that’s okay. I’m sure there are others in this group in the same situation. Just wanted to let you know you’re not alone. I have made progress since this bet started and I’m proud of myself for that. I even made a little progress this month, just not enough to reach my goal for this round. Instead I’m focusing on the months ahead and trying not to give up just because I missed one round. I’m focusing on being consistent and sticking to it even when things are moving slower than I’d like.

I signed up for Kickstarter 3 weeks ago that I thought I had no chance in winning. I signed up a week late so I had to loose 4% in 3 weeks. On top of that I had just come off a big week of weigh loss so I expected my progress to slow. I focused up and won. Now the pressure is off for all my other games.

It's intermittent fasting, counting macros, working out daily (30 min), getting 8-10k steps, drinking a ton of water and cutting out starchy carbs and sugar. But the main thing that's different for me is my mindset has completely changed. I am now looking at this as a. Lifestyle change rather than a way to get skinny. I just want to be strong and healthy.
