  • Need a swap for cheese… try nutritional yeast.
    Is delicious on popcorn too.
    Omelettes are the best:)
Especially when you have backyard chickens ;)

Do you eat them straight up? Or blend them?

Cloud J.

I eat them straight. Either in salads or cooked as a side dish

Even if you've hit your 4% goal it's important to still keep your head in the game. It's easy once you hit a goal to slip back into old patterns that had you joining this challenge in the first place. Keep your nutrition in check and don't skip the workouts. You don't want extra bites, nibbles and treats to mess with your final weigh in. You are almost there, you got this!

I may not make my goal but one thing I did win at was becoming more self aware of my food choices. I still have a long way to go on the better choices but I take the small wins along the journey.

Yet again did nothing different in my diet kept at the same 1760 cal lifted weights 4 to 5 times a week cut my 15,000 steps in daily as well as did 30 yoga classes in those days and I did not lose 1 pound. In fact I gained again. and got my 135 g of protein in every day and did exactly what I am supposed to do and I still cannot lose any weight at all.

  • Prepping to stay on track. Measuring to keep those macros on point.

Prioritizing my sleep- water- and nutrition has been my focus.

Numbers moving down in the scale makes me feel even better.

Thank you Joel and Megan for this push!!!

  • Celebrating lots of little wins during week 1 and wanted to share. I'm focusing on the small improvements along the journey, and eventually I'll reach my destination. I'd love to hear your wins for the week!

Here's mine in no particular order....
    - I identified that the days where I have pancakes for breakfast, fruit doesn't cut it as a snack since I'm hungry again before lunch. Instead, on those days I've added a higher protein mid-morning snack to get me to lunch time.
    - I've been dinner and done all week.
    - I've continued my usual workout routine of doing something every day (one rest / active recovery day).
    - I hit my goal of 10k steps every day except one, with my daily average being 12k.
    - My colleague brought in homemade cakes on Tuesday, but not only didn't I have any, I wasn't tempted either.
    - Wednesday I had room for it so made a conscious decision to have one of the rocky road. (Mini win: I picked a small piece.) However, as the day went on I recognised the impact on my body with respect to lower energy levels and increased cravings.
    - Thursday there were 2 birthdays so lots of cake and cookies but I didn't want any of it, since the Wednesday experience had taken away the desire for processed sugar.
    - Normally WFH on a Friday I'd pick at things all day, but not this week...planned meals only.

Goal to add for the coming week:
    - Be better at getting to bed on time for enough sleep.

  • I love eating!!!!

I love meal prepping and my husband will say I make extra some days that we don’t eat just to add to the “prepped” category, and he may not be wrong. Lol.

Worrying about not having something to eat when you get hungry has been my nemesis…. In the past I would sit down with an entire box of cereal, cookie, nuts or dried fruit and consume the mega amount of calories only to not satisfy the purpose.

Not anymore. I plan out at least a day ahead if not more and make multiple servings even though I only cook for myself, my husband and my aging daddy that I’m full time caregiver for.

I use food for fuel and to heal.
I love all the colors too ;)

I grow out of a 96 foot greenhouse also so that helps too. The season keeps me hopping and spring has sprung.

  • Prepping saves time when I’m busy later and don’t wanna?

I find myself not using excuses if the chopping part is done first thing in the day even if steamed carrots won’t be eaten for 8 hours😉

Also marinading some tempeh for dinner to go with these tomatos and cucs. Pic to come.

With a busy homestead to run the first thing I have to cut is extra exercise but nutrition counts huge so drinking my morning coffee while chopping is my new best friend!

I’m curious if it is asking for a progress weigh in just on day 1 does that mean that my first weigh in was approved?

The words have changed and doesn’t say pending anymore but have not yet received an email. Little confused.

Does anyone know?
Thank you!!!

Haven’t joined one of these in 8 years since Tony Hortons ;)

I'm in the same boat. Got the message that my weigh-in was approved, but no email with links yet. Sent a question into Support, just to be sure.

Cloud J.

I just checked spam again. Nothing.
