Struggling this week a bit with sweets. It’s Nurse’s week and all the sweet treats that are being shared are killing me. I kept my indulging to a minimum. Hopefully since I’m finished with my shifts this week, I can get my nutrition back on track! Was still able to lose 1 pound so far.

I’m a nurse too. I still have a couple of small chocolates a day rather than fight my sweet tooth that leaves me miserable. After that I have some dates or a small handful of froot loops if I haven’t satisfied my craving

Trying hard to dial in my nutrition and focus on water and sleep. I had my right hip replaced 19Feb and the left one 17Apr so I still have a lot of restrictions on movement, making any cardio basically impossible. Thinking of trying the upper body portion of Liift4 sitting on my bench, just so I can get Something done! Any guidance or suggestions are welcome!

I've now learned macros, short for macronutrients are three categories of nutrients that you eat the most and provide you with the most energy.
Protein, Carbohydrates and Fats...

Where do Vegetables Come into play??? I feel like they've always given me good energy...

I just downloaded cronometer today and I'm trying to log things the best I can and get used to it ..

I just have the free version, but it's still a bit confusing,, anyone have better advice? Is this the only way to do this??? Use an app and log whatever you take in?

Anyone doing portion fix? I liked that in the past, seems much easier.

And vegetables go under carbs just like fruit does

If you are used to portion fix, your yellow, green and purple are all carbs. But your yellow are higher in carbs(starchy carbs). If that makes sense. Some foods are a bit of a mix of macros. You can use whatever plan you want to lose weight. Macros is the most precise. Portion fix is macros based but a looser/easier version

  • How many calories diet are the recipes for? Like if my goal is 1400 calories per day, how do I know how much to adjust the recipes as they are listed in nutritional guide you gave us? Is there an easy way to figure that out? Bc I need easy or this is gonna get stressful trying to convert everything lol
