  • Just have to share my results from the dietbet that Joel & Megan hosted! Started May 5th weighing 162.0, now today June 1st weighing 154.8! I'm so proud of my consistency this month. I feel INCREDIBLE, confident AF in a swimsuit, my energy levels are insanely high! Im sleeping like a champ, and I've been able to say no to Alcohol & desserts! My nutrition was 98% on track. Crazy what happens when you really dial in on nutrition and commit to working out/walking DAILY! 💪👌

Even if you've hit your 4% goal it's important to still keep your head in the game. It's easy once you hit a goal to slip back into old patterns that had you joining this challenge in the first place. Keep your nutrition in check and don't skip the workouts. You don't want extra bites, nibbles and treats to mess with your final weigh in. You are almost there, you got this!

I may not make my goal but one thing I did win at was becoming more self aware of my food choices. I still have a long way to go on the better choices but I take the small wins along the journey.

Yet again did nothing different in my diet kept at the same 1760 cal lifted weights 4 to 5 times a week cut my 15,000 steps in daily as well as did 30 yoga classes in those days and I did not lose 1 pound. In fact I gained again. and got my 135 g of protein in every day and did exactly what I am supposed to do and I still cannot lose any weight at all.

Bites, nibbles and tastes can have you going over your calorie limit without you even knowing.

How often do you take a bite of the food you are prepping or serving yourself or your family? How often do you find yourself taking a bite of what your kids have left on their plate while you are cleaning up after your meals?

I encourage you the next time you are in the kitchen getting a meal or snack together whether it's for yourself or someone else, take note each time you feel like taking a bite. It's so easy to do and not even realize you are doing it.

If you find it hard to NOT take an extra bite, nibble or taste of food while prepping, chew on a piece of sugar free gum while you prepare your meal.

Just like everything else on your health journey, the more you practice a habit the more it will stick, so practice being mindful while you are food prepping for the week, preparing your meals/snack and cleaning up your and your family's dishes.

I had vodka, more than one:relaxed:and gained 1 of the 5.8 lbs I had lost as of Friday, which was bananas, so I am happy with a 4.8 loss for last week. My expectations for this week are lower, hoping for 2lbs, which seems more reasonable than last week!

Nutrition Tip!

While you are tightening up your nutrition and cutting calories to lose weight, you may find yourself extra hungry. Adding extra veggies is a great way to bulk up your meals for very few calories and keep you full.

*Reminder! DON'T add extra butter, cheese, sauces etc. to your veggies because that will add extra calories. DO add some spices or hot sauce if you need a little extra flavor with your vegetables.

  • Day 1 of the DietBet! I am mostly following the same calendar but due to not having a bench, I did LIIFT4 Chest today instead. Also following the meal plan with a few modifications. I don't like Tuna, so I made chicken salad for my lunches this week. The cottage cheese breakfast bowl is BOMB!
